Is it just me? I don't say I am a perfectionist. No one is. But one thing I am proud of myself is I am totally and truly loyal especially when it comes to relationship. I had a bf in the past. It did not work out coz it was not a conventional lovers' relationship in the first place. Secondly he was not being loyal to me. So that obstructed the chance of any kinda future relationship. Period! I am dating this guy now. He is quite good (habits-that's what I care for.)But recently, he has given me some clues of hypocricies and disloyalities? Is hypocricies in our blood? I know he loves me, but what is there in love if what he says and does are not compatible? Can we be more trustworthy? Please?

There are both men and women who could hurt you, You have been hurt by men, and I have been betrayed by my ex. I used to think the same say as you do now. I can feel that your wounds are fresh, mine have healed yet still hurts when she is around, can you tell me what shall I do?? I may sound..... what ever, but my heart is clean, and that only I know. But I learned to think positive. and like to believe very much that not every one are the same.....

Kamakshi!!! Compromise to what??? For disloyal or not trustworthy!!!..There is no way, I will compromise on that... If you have to do compromise on other issues, then it has to be a two way or mutual one way...Non-mutual one way compromise, I have seen those all over the eastern marriage !!!!

Lakhee: Only a wonded would know what a wound is about. I appreciate you and glad to know that you got over it. Positive thinking is what that matters. I am quite positive myself. But there are times when world think the other way than you do. Darwin's theory of struggle for existence and survival of the fittest come into play I guess. May be the world is full of hypocrites and I have to change myself accordingly. ratobhaley: I never claimed I am a perfectionist. I speak my mind though. And believe me, I am extremely faithful when it comes to relationship. I am not a fan of politics but when most of the immigrants did not support persident Bush in 2004 election, I was one of few who did. I never liked Senator John Kerry for his hypocricies on his stances. Bush may be a dumbo, but at least he says what he does and vice versa.

HijoAaj: Which is why this thread. I am wondering if disloyalty on a partner's part can be compromised.

Kamakshi you're losing sight of the big picture here. Bush has made many hypocritic statements all throughout his presidency. In every kind of relationship there is need for white lies. Even parents talk about tooth fairies, santa and what not to their children do you want to call them hypocrites? It's just the nature of the beast. White lies = hypocracy and everyone has to commit them once in a while for a bigger cause.

HijoAaj: Thanks for your input. He loves me and that's for sure. It's just that I am crossed by his hypocricies in certain things. I love him to death. I can't live without him. I can't imagine my life without him. He knows it too. But still, his certain actions, gives me the impression that he's been lying to me. Which hurts!

ratobhaley: I hope it's true in my bf case. I hope he is doing it for a greater cause. HijoAaj: I don't want to tag him as disolyal right away. I still believe he loves me. So I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. May be he is taking me for granted or just being plain naive. Relationships are hard to come by, and I will try every possible way to maintain it. Mind you, he is awesome otherwise, coz he loves me like anything. Love is blind and I want to remain blind hoping that he would not hurt me in the future.

Grow up ,Kamakshi!.Once bitten twice shy!Very true in your case.Try to understand your boy.If you cannot then it is your problem not his. If you have doubts then quit. What is the use of such relationship which will ultimately end up in disaster. Remember 'FAITH CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS', otherwise there is always a place called HELL,tell your disloyal boy to go there.

cleopatra: I did not get you. At one point, you tell me to understand him. And then, you also tell me to tell him go to hell? Aren't they contradictory?

Yeah , one more thing if you cannot send him to hell, YOU GO TO HELL! Coz with this attitude of yours no one will stick around with you.You don't love him , you want to chain him.You sound very self centered here. If you are that convinced of his love for you , from where this hypocrisy & disloyality thing comes. It is all in you mind.

And kamakshi aren't you being too judgemental on you partner's character here?? I think since you have already been betrayed once, you are being too cautious here...but suspicion is more detrimental in love and relationship....i have found that the older girls ( i mean late 20s) tend to scrutinise each and every detail in their man....it may stem out of their insecureness but it pisses the guys off....and one thing leads to another and soon it is the end of the romantic chapter.

Once you are into a relationship and have had a break-up or the relationship dont work out, you're gone !!! :-) You'd have to compromise for sure! Also, as you expressed , so called Loyalty - Truth, if had been within you, you would go on for a patch up, mend up your first relationship. If you seek another relationship as an outcome of the break-up of the first one, go find a third one!!! cos i already see the chances of break-up of this one too! Do you get me ? and thats my view .. as i read some of your other posts you are quite good at expressing your personal concerns. Thats how i believe or rather predict your future holds for you, until you change! Period!

Just two words to you Kamakshi "WAKE UP" Just listen to your self, he fu(ks you up, and comes home with a rose and a sad face saying "Sorry", "I will not do that again" and you believe him and forgive him, and feel sorry for him. And he fu(ks you up again. Learn to say enough is enough. There are thousand of guys who are better then your so-called cheating BF. Listening to your feelings he sounds as if he is your first love. First love is not always the right one. My suggestion, take it or leave it; it is up to you. “DUMP THAT LOSER AND MOVE ON†before it is too late.
