 INLS Seeking Representatives

INLS is Seeking State and Country Representatives



The Executive Committee of International Nepali Literary Society, Washington D.C. is currently nominating representatives from each state of United States and various countries through out the world in an effort to organize and bring together all people who are interested in languages and literature of Nepal. Previous year, the organization had representative from India, UK, Japan, Canada, Australia and Nepal. INLS currently has a chapter in Nepal. It has established INLS Australia-Chapter and INLS Japan-Chapter ad-hoc committees in Australia and Japan respectively. These committees are currently working to formalize the chapters.

We are currently seeking United States state representatives and various country representatives. The representatives who are nominated will receive free life membership of INLS, Washington D.C. If you are interested, please send your short bio and contact information to following e-mail address:

Here are major responsibilities of a representative:

1. Coordinate literary functions, events, projects in your area.
2. Collect poems/books/papers for presentation and competition
-INLS is announcing International Nepali Literary Award for best literary book and may conduct International Nepali Literary Convention this year.
3. Expand the network of people who are interested in languages and literature of Nepal and possibly work on forming chapter in your country.
4. Provide frequent update to INLS headquarter in Washington D.C.

I do not think if we need anyone in VA 'cause we have the whole SUbedi Family here. Go subedi go. Great job. Do not take this personel.

KAFLE ji, Thanks for encourgements. there is noting to be personal there. If you are interested to represent VA, please send us your short bio and contact.

Within a day of its announcement, we have received e-mails from many interested people to become State and Country representatives. I did not know sajha was this papular event outside US. Thank you everyone for your support. Thanks to San and all the people who support financially and as volunteer, contributor to keep this site running.

I have not yet heard from some of the regular sajha friends who post literary pieces here. Please send me an e-mail if you are interested. That is all it takes.

We plan to post information about INLS representatives on our website www.inls.org (under development) so that people in the area can contact you.
