It is true and fact that Nepali Corrupt, Criminal Crooks are behind Peace, Democracy, Human Rights and personal gain.

These crooks always talks sweet, leadership, responsibility, accountability, nationality and politics, but their key intension will be their personal gain and recognition as well as financial profit.

BE AWARE OF THESE NEPALESE CROOKS.

i totally agree with anti raw with whatever he has said but would like to add a few more fact that i have come accross which might make sense to ppl living in new york as i am from nepal.

1. murari sharma has been trying to extend the period of his current job at un which is goin to expire soon in december and for that he needs a recomendation letter from the government which he was not given by the current government. so he is really pissed off with the current governemtn. as after dec this year the only job he will be able to do it there is ocdc....the post he is currently working at un is actually as post usually taken up by people lot junior to ambassadors. so the government authorities were not happy in the first place when he actually joined that post and did not wish to leave his PR at un for nepal.

2. he is badly pissed with current PR madhu acharya because it has to come to light that there were few local staffs hired as drivers in the nepal emabssy in newyork who were relatives of murari and madhu has fired them and hired some one else...i head one of them was close relative probaly salo...guys in ny would know better again.

3. and all the bs. he is giving at the moment about democracy and anti monarchy retoric is all becoz of the frustration he is getting becos he doesnt know what he will do after december as probably he wont be able to come back to nepal as everyone knows he is not worth a cent for anything. and in america any job he can get is in restaurant as he not a big scholar or anything...so he is doomed...sorry murari but using your frustration to vent anger on nepalese ppl...isnt that treason who are u to suggest the nepalese govt be not allowed representation in un...u have made a fool out of youself...

kantipur which is a "responsible and democratic" media house always pumps ppl like this...his interview has been appearing in Nepal magazine consecetively for the past few issues...with the same bs everytime.

Murariraj is most opportunist. All he is doing is that he is expresiing his grievances. He is also looking for future position after three years. I fully agree with above threads.

If this is true, this is pathetic... Why always blame Gyane ? Nepal is taken back to 19th century by none other than opportunist and traitor like MURARI.

Your are right anti Raw!

Murari Raj was most corrupt and greedy foreign Secretary, when he was in power
he upgraded his own cousin brothers of Bhojpur, from Kharidari Post to Section Officer and sent both of them in New York and Washington DC, as First Secretary respectively
You imagine if some one was competent for section officer why should those guys hang on with Kharidar Post? I personally congratulated those Lucky Kharidars on being promoted to Section Officers and posted one of the prestigious Places such as Washington and New York. Even if they did not know how to response English letter to appropriately.
Another Nonsense things Murary Baje did was, his own brother was hired as Ambassador Maid in New York at his own resident and his own Bhanja was hired as Office Assistant in New York Mission when he was Permanent Representative to New York Mission. Another Sala was able to get in our Embassy London. For personal reason I don't want to mention their name if it is necessary I will come with 100 % proof. This is an example of Murari Baje's honesty when his was in power. Murari betrayed his motherland and his own images. I wish to inform to the Secretary General of UN not to count on such a betrayal person Murari who was a crook from Bhojpur. Nepal sham on you Murari Baje.

Atleast, frustration je bhaye pani desh ko lage heet hune kam ma badha chai na hallnu parcha. It is a rare opportunity for nation's representation in such forume, where nation and not individuals who is representing should matter.

I don't have concrete evidence against Murariji, but it is fact and sadly true that Nepal is dommed not by external factors but by the unpatriotic, selfish nature of her childrens, both from the head of the family to the youngest sibling.

On that VoIP thread wrote:

"On a larger note, when and if you work in Nepal in a public setting, you guys will have to endure many false attacks and face slimey backstabbings that are going to be a lot more severe."

Well, regardless of whether you like MR Sharma or hate him, the above postings
give us a flavour of what severe attacks and backstabbings look like.

Personally, I do NOT know Mr. Murari Raj Sharma.
And I do NOT particularly care about his political beliefs.
But given his relatively 'public position' these days, no one should be surprised by all
kind of these attacks against him. These attacks go with the territory, and that's life.

Still

I, for one, think that Sharma has every right to express his own opinions in public
so long as he is NOT on the Nepal govt. payroll now.

[If he had signed a document saying something to the effect that he would not criticize the govt for x number of years after leaving the service, then the matters would have been different.]

NOW

Just because Sharma expresses his opinions in public, that does NOT make those
opinions right or even true.

His are just opinions -- which can be supported or opposed with better arguments, just like any one else's. The opinion that he was a former UN rep, therefore his views should carry more weight is nonsense.

Sure, Sharma might have been a nepotist and might have been a lousy representative of Nepal to the UN during his tenure.

But alas!

Being a democrat ALSO means ALLOWING even "nepotists" and "khattam ex-bureaucrats" to freely voice their opinions in public.

I disagree with Ashu, public employees when in the job should not politicize their position. This is wrong, morally and ethnically.
They CAN express their opinions and beliefs as private citizens but not as public employees.. I smell fish in Mr Sharma's rhetoric I mean its fishy ;-).

I know a lot of people in the UN system, a lot of them in very respectable positions, some who had been resident representatives for the UN in different countries. I got to know them mostly through my dad,who served for the UN too. None of them oppose the monarchy right now, none of them support the anti king rally outside the UN. Except for the ones in the UN appointed by the government. (like Mr. Murari Raj Sharma..of whom I've heard a lot of things from first hand accounts).

The first priority should be in solving the Maoist problem in nepal rather than fighting and debating over who gets to be on the top of the chain. Or else Nepal could be another Rwanda.

Shiv,

In that interview, Sharma says:

"As a member of ACABQ [at the United Nations], I am supposed to be an independent expert."

Taking Sharma at his word, he sounds like he is an UN official who is on UN's payroll -- and therefore no longer on HMG's payroll.

It's likely that Sharma might have indulged in these politically colorful extracurriculars
as a Nepali (during his non-UN hours).

I don't see why he can't continue on with his interest -- when it's he who, at the
end of the day, assumes ALL RISKS and REWARDS associated his extracurricular
activities.

Let the man speak, and do whatever he wants in public.

He too has every right to speak about what's happening in his country.
Yes, he has a right to speech, and that does NOT mean he also has a
right to have an audience

It's one thing to disagree with his ideas with reasons.

But it's another to attack him by saying "well, he can't do that because he's in this and that position, and, what's more, he's also a khattam person".

I don't know what kind of "khattam person" he is.
And I don't care.

But let's accept that even "khattam persons" can worry about and share their views about Nepal in their own ways.

PLEASE READ:

"He too has every right to speak about what's happening in his country.

AS

"He too has every right to speak about what's happening in his country.
Yes, he has a right to speech, and that does NOT mean he also has a
right to have an audience. Audience is something he has to earn through his own efforts.

Ashu,

I agree with you and lets not debate about his right to express himself. Its up to him to express himself, just like yourself I don't care either. However, for someone of responsible position who still holds a position (regardless of weather he getting his salaries from). It is clear (call me opinionated or biased) from reading his statements that he is making a political move, now he knows that his days are gone with the royal regime and he wants to make his mark for the next government, which he knows will not be royal government. All I have to say is he is another opportunist who is looking for another opportunity to divulge in power. I usually refrain from making generalized statements about someone however this is classic and fits into the corrupt mentality of nepali leaders and bureaucrats.

In peace.
Shiv
