No matter what our leader are say in public, most of them are very friendly with corrupts. Here is a news, which exemplify how deep rooted corruption is in Nepal. There is a warrant against notorious banker Sita Ram Prasai for corruption. Polices have been trying to arrest this guy for weeks. No arrest has been made yet.

On May 14th our so called leader Ram Chandra Paudel (second in line in the government) goes to Mr. Prasai’s party. So does Mr. Madhab Kumar Nepal. They shook hand Mr. Prasai and enjoyed the party!

What’s wrong with our leaders? Didn’t they know about the warrant by their own government? Or they are just trying to be ignorant about the warrant? It shows our leaders are corrupt, incompetent and they have no respect to law and order. I guess the law and order are meant to be for the poor. Just for the poor!

I am extremely curious why Paudel and Nepal went to this corrupt’s house? What is their relationship? They supposed to help the government to arrest Mr. Prasai! Not the other way around!

keep it up, I useed to support Girija, and Ram chandra, and saw a dream about New Nepal as they promissed while bring millions of people at Sadak, and lots of people died for their kurchi and heard about protecting King, give the chances to curroptured criminals. How come they promissed that they won repeat past 10 yrs goverment'
s style. But, they forget to Janata again......... thukka sale Neta haru hooo, protect your criminals and shuck more blood from poor nepali people.....

Although i am not a congress supporter, I knw and can say that among the Nepali political leaders, Ramchandra Paudel stands out as single non corrupt, honest and intelligent poltical person. However, when any one of them are in the corrupt team of the present set up, it is difficult to single out any of them as a good one.

Corruption is in the mind set of nepali administration, government and everybody who enjoys a bit of opportunity. It is not something that is within the party, creed or ethnic lines. He whoever has got opportunity has either yielded or has been lured into this lurid temptation of becoming richer by making hay when the sun is shining. Corruption is a part of our culture.
But what I understand from reading threads like this is that when we bring the names of less corrupt people up and defame them, we are trying to cover the really bad ones. The same is true when you talk of ramchandra instead of Gobinda, Chiranjeevee, Bhim Raval , Ishwor Pokhreal or the Maoists looters.

One paisa, if it is earned illegally, its corruption. Attidue of the person is important. Today's less corrupt becomes tommorow's most corrupted because his intention is corruption.

It is totally wrong. If you say provide some evidence, evidence is everywhere. Look at this earnings, house, business share etc. Important thing is our so called CIAA is dead, our justice system is dead. Not only ramchandre, other chandres are roaming freely.

The way all the people were given promises of "New Nepal," I don't see it forming from the same old corrut hands...
I think it's time to kick'em out and bring in a fresh group of leadership for this...

New Nepal [developed?] is not in sight for next few decades, I do not even the beginning. I think these netas will be happy to inaugurate New Nepal if it is contructed/built by some foreign countries, rather than proper plans and action. I donot beleive they have anything in their mind except for the phrase New Nepal, neither do I. So pashupati ko bhar bahek kehi chhaina hal lai....

Read this article by Madan Mani Dixit, a veteran journalist and writer who is firm in what he believes. He is from Dixit Dynasty, one of the most educated Dynasty among Pahadiya Bahuns in Nepal (after Koirala Dynasty, I think the most influential PBahun Dynasty in Nepal is Dixit Family). Some time they look Monarchist, some time Monarchist look at them as traitor, and Maoists also look them as feudals, certainly they are controversial, but this dynasti has done great job in various sectors.

Kunda Dixit also belongs to the same dynasty. His wife runs Rato Bangala which brought a completely new concept of education to Nepal, away from GHISSU kinda traditional learning.

The YCL revealed this fact. Then, Ram chandra started to abuse YCL.
Meanwhile, YCL warned him that he will face a action like Sitaram. This issue was brought to Prachanda from YCL. Then, Ram chandar apologized with Prachanda fearing that this issue will tarnish his image. They agreed not to reveal this matter. The so called journalists also maintained silence over this issue. It is probably coordinated well in advance.

Nothing to say: your idea is partially correct, only 10%.
Remind that if these corrupts escape without penalty, it will certainly imbalance our effort to build new Nepal or prosperous society.
Its a very important step to punish them. The person doing his job improperly, must be given lesson in time. Otherwise, his actions will badly affect new effort.
