A citation in a lecture by the theology professor Josef Ratzinger would have been fine, but Benedict the XVI can't "slip off" his shoes of St. Peters papal. He quoted 14th Century Christian emperor's quote that Prophet Muhammad brought the world only evil and inhuman things.
I don’t think the pope was wrong in what he said, the world should hear the bitter truth than shy away from it, I don’t justify what he said but some Muslims in the world are rather proving every word said to be right by their actions. I regret to say that Muslims, after Pope's speech showed little tolerance and good-will. Look at the atrocities......
• In the West Bank city of Nablus, two churches were firebombed on Saturday in attacks claimed by a group which said it was protesting against the Pope's remarks.
• On Friday, hardliner cleric Sheikh Abubakar Hassan Malin told worshippers at his mosque to hunt down and kill whoever offended the Prophet Mohammed.
• Gunmen have shot dead an elderly Italian nun and her bodyguard in the Somali capital Mogadishu. The Nun- shooting is believed to be connected with the Pope's recent comments on Islam. Please post your omments...........
