Dear colleagues in Ameriacas, Since King has imposed emergency and the protest is unlikely to happen even in future, we need to send signals to the King that we love democracy more than you. Therefore, I would like to ask your solidarity for DEMOCRACY IN NEPAL and protest against the King in the event of ANA Convention 2005 which is not that far down the road. Those of you, if you have anything already in mind in terms of getting organized for protest please let us know.

Very nice to see ppl with different views but with similar goals. First of all i wanna give my 2paise suggestions to ppl who wanna organize rally in DC. Plz plz do not make a fun of urself staging some kinda drama in front of capitol hill. Oh yeah by the way if anybody is in student visa and illegal pls do not dare to come there cuz u guys will be deported.About staging drama in ANA well well if the horses were wishes everybody would have ride on it isn't it? Everybody know what is ANA and how it is run. However I do agree about forming some kinda Nepal Caucas grp. Its not easy to form that u need $$$$$. See to launcha a caucas u need to have backing of some (atleast 5) senators. Now the question is how we can get those senator? Its not like nepal where we can placy voting politics. We all know nepali ppl are only in handful in number and in addition its well known fact in USA that unlike African American or Spanish vote Asians have a tendency to vote with lots of homeworks. So how we gonna get those senators for us than? We have to become GOP donors for that u need $$$$. WE have to help them for their election campaigns. Thats how the work is done. Its not a childs play that u can form it overnite. Indian caucas launched only after $$$$ poured by freshly Milloneres by tech boom it took them almost a decade in retrospetive Pakistani it took only 3 yrs cuz they saw indians and learn from their mistakes. For us who have monitored Indian and pakistani forming caucas we can learn from their mistakes and how they mobilize their advantages we can learn from them and just like pakistani we must be able to firm it much quicker. But i must warned not to hold high horse on this caucas cuz its more like a diplomacy u may can succeed sometime get beaten by other caucas. Its a game. Do not be mistake that forming caucas u can overthrow KG. Its prospectice is not to overthrow or topple any goverment.the whole idiea of Caucas is to work for the development of such focus grps destined countries. Here KG wants him to be given 3 yrs time rite. IFF we were able to form Caucas what we can do is work with him. we can provide him with donations, aids(thats what is caucas is for). But we can monitor those aids. If something goes wrong we can hold those aids for nepal. Thats how a pressure game is played. We can keep on helping him as well as we keep on pressuring him by donating countries to loosen his grip one at a time. B4 our aids were linger by Indian caucas for their gains now it wil be we Nepali will be playing that game for the betterment of nepal and nepali ppl. BTW pleas do not stage any kinda protest in ANA meeting holding in TX. those gun tottin cowboys have different laws than most of other us states . do not do that kinda stupidity and do not encourage ppl to do that u may be send back home. plz most of u guys have parents or ppl back in nepal who have high hopes on u don;t do any idiotic things.

Well I have been reading all the messages. What we all have to know there are two power base right now in Nepal.maoist and the other being king. I know people will shout what about political parties ? Political parties, I belive are no more a force but now they are considered a bunch of idiots with hooligan nature. These idiots say Nepal is a soverign country, but Soverignity has two bases one political another economical. well politically we are soverign but economically It gives me a pain to say we are no more , these politician has already surrendered economic soveriginty to the neighbouring country long back. So now we have two forces, now what maoist have become so strong in these years ,i think they are just metres away to keep their flag on the singhadurbar? now when u give the power to the political parties thay can't act? becoz of the lust of the power by individual leader and neither can they got to the rural Nepal for votes . so what option is left............. I am not a supporter of king gyanendra , but what options we have ? declare Nepal republic , and bring back these leaders again and asking them to surrender now the political soveriginity of the country also. King gyanendra 's move is the need of the time, give him time to act coz if he won't , may be we all won't be able to say we are from soverign country. The I do support swaati's remarks regarding caucus , i know its hercules task but atleast I am happy someone has lit the fire regarding it.

what about the organization around DC, ihelp.org, Danfey entertainment.kaligandaki culture club, nepa manka khala..... arent they have any duties toooo ...... or they just need Nepali when thery are organizing the Programme..... or they are busy to earning money by selling tickets rather than coming forward in this situation and organize small ralley just to show our support for DEMOCRACY... they are not doing that because they won't get anything in return. When there is a programme, they all come to the house and knock the door just to sell the tickets.

i think what the King is doing is the right thing and this is what nepal needs and is the only way now to restore peace and democracy......starting up a protest rally is a stupid idea and would make us no better than the politicians......and the politicians who say are fighting for the democracy is actually fighting for their own interests rather than for the ppl or the country......the King and his new cabinet are ready for the peace talks with the rebels.....the King gave a chance to all the politicians to prove their worth and we all know they are incapable and bunch of losers.....there is no way the maoist could make our country better...so the King is our only hope now......lets hope what hez doing is for the betterment of all the nepalis.... so all the ppl with stupid f**khole ideas f**k off peace

swaati thapa: are you trying to scare people that protesting will end up in their deportation? that is bullshiat. i have been to many a protests myself. there is no reason why any nepali who feels it is right and necessary to protest can't or shouldn't do so. please don't scare people unnecessarily. you may have clout in dc, ok, i don't. but this is not nepal. people who want to protest in nepal can't do so anymore because they are scared. but there is no need to be scared here. if people don't like the idea, don't take part. if you feel the urge to stand against it, by all means organize a counter-protest yourself. but, don't intimidate people who want to protest. junkie: your dear king is also fighting for his own interest. he is fighting for his own survival. bwaashole bhedaako chhala oddaimaa saadhoo bandaina. there is no need to even pretend that he is fighting for the people. and you and others of similar pursuation keep insisting that the king gave chance to the politicians, the king gave chance this, the king gave chance that. that is horse-shiat. who the hell is the king to GRANT us those, huh? we got that right from fighting him. it is the people's right, not his personal property to give away. to all people thinking, planning protest: all power to you!

Send Signals to The King? You really think that stupid protest is gonna make King think twice if you protest? Not really? And Protesting in ANA is going to make the already crappy ANA programs and shit even more boring. The ANA is losing its class, and it just an event to rip money off of you, nothing more. So Protest ain't gonna help, and stop thinking about it and think about HOW TO MAKE ANA a FUN event instead of crap and rip money off your pocket. THANKYOU VERY MUCH!!!!

Yes. Lets organize to support the king. Those bitching about rights and freedom dont deserve democracy. We never heard from them while thulo corruption was going on. We never saw them when 11,000 nepali died due to Mao. We never gave us helping hand when people were drying for justice. Now why the fock should we support them. I think it is time for change and we should give chance to the King.

What does CRISIS means? This is the question we all have to ask to ourselves. circumstances where things cannot function properly. There will be a need to take steps that would be different from that on a normal situation. Every body loves "DEMOCRACY" but the point is because of Maoist problem, our country is in crisis period. So, the primary reason is to solve this crisis then, think about others. We have seen what our political leaders did to resolve this conflict. At least our KING has taken such initiation to overcome from this problem. Lets get united to support king and do what ever we can do to fulfill our dreams to make nepal a "Peaceful" country. We all know without peace, democracy cannot prevail. PLEASE Nepali haru don't waste your effort and time going against KING's decision. Instead put your effort in giving our support to KING so that he is able to solve the problem as soon as possible. Forget about other countries. If we, the people of Nepal want KING to solve this problem. who are the others to not support us. LETS GET UNITED FOR A GOOD CAUSE.

why junkie? i have. i have organized and participated in protest programs against maoist atrocities. what good will protest do? it keep that light inside you up. that you will not give up. that you will fight for your rights. do you think the king is going to fail easily? if he goes down, he's going to take a lot of us down with him. and if he wins, we will have to die anyway to get anything from him again. we gave a chance to politicians. but did we ever care to follow up on that? it's easy to blame others, and yes they were bastards but we have to fulfill our own duties. and until we do that, we will never be free. either the maoists will be after us, or the king's henchmen. so, by your logic, why don't we give a maoists a try, huh? we haven't tried them yet.

Do all the protest while you can, but just remember one thing!! aint' nothing gonna happen. You will make the fool out of yourself. Another thing I want o ask you all, the ppl who has been calling for protest, what are you all protesting for?? You want to put same old shere, girija, makune, and krishne back to the ofice who all been sucking ya'll bloo and filling their own pocket. What is this protest for, so that maoist coul be more strong and bing a social inbalance in the country?? what are we protesting for, to get back the freedom of speech back?? tell me what did you all do when you had the same?? What are you all trying to prove here ppl, that you all are fine with all the bloodbath going in our country. Just think about the time when we all were growing up!! How secure the country was and how free we all could go from one place to another at any time of the day without any hesitation, and think about the present situation, you are insecure in your own damn home!! I think what king did was right. We just have to wait and see whats his next move, and I'm sure what he does is better for all of us. GHAR JAWII: One thing I wanna tell you dude!! just take all those protest information and shove it in ya a**. You are not better than any of our illitrate leaders who can't do s**t except to give unreal speeches and give people fake hope!! I wonder even if they have a genuiene educational degree!! I bet they all bought it from India. Our leaders ain't good for nothing. They don't even know how to talk. Just think about where Nepal was before 90 and how it is now in international standard.
