Dear colleagues in Ameriacas, Since King has imposed emergency and the protest is unlikely to happen even in future, we need to send signals to the King that we love democracy more than you. Therefore, I would like to ask your solidarity for DEMOCRACY IN NEPAL and protest against the King in the event of ANA Convention 2005 which is not that far down the road. Those of you, if you have anything already in mind in terms of getting organized for protest please let us know.

Tired whats your exact point?? what should have really happened?? I would have been beter off in present situation!! The king has already asked 3 years from his citizens in his speech and he has always been favourin multi-party system. but like others said, we have given chance to the political parties since 91 and what have we got back?? more poverty in the country, more bad names infront of rest of the world, more insecurity!! we haven't got anything good in return dude!! and as far as you talkin bout giving maoist a power, you know exactly what their intentions and motives are, so dont' try to jump in the fire and burn your own a** out when you can walk away.

Ghaar Jawaii(to all people who don't support KING's decision), You have the same mentality of people who are not talking logical. You are capable of becoming the political leaders that we have right now. Can u ever think of productive ways ever? i doubt. Can't u see what most logical people want- a peaceful country. Do u want the same MAOIST problem and existing political leaders to take their position for the sake of DEMOCRACY or A peaceful country which is planning to progress. Choice is yours?

Jaynepal dude I'm hpoing so much that you will take part in one the protest progammes listed above that is nearest to your city/town. I'm absolutely confident that you are genuinely concerned about crisis in Nepal and an appropriate resolution to the crisis. See you then( at the protest programme).

Ghar Jawaii I was not taking bout you buying the degree dude. I was just trying to show you the leaders who you been supporting ain't good for nothing. Tell me one good leader who can lead our country to the rest of the world?? There is not a single leader we have who can neither negotiate internally with the own people nor can bargain while negotiating with any international bodies. They always feel inferior infront of others as if they dont' have no stand in this world Like I said before, all they can do is give some unreal speeches saying I can o this and I can do that and give ppl a fake hope. Think about it! In this present situation, lets support our King and see what happens tomorrow. I'm sure he is a player in this game, and he's got a move this time Sorry, if you felt bad and took presonally but thats the reality

well yeah, if you think it that way then whats the use of fightin or democracy in that country where people don't even know the meaning of democracy?? you just said, "to be realistic ...Jasta Janata, testai Netaa............isnt it ?" Does this mean you are also trying to persuade others to fight and join the protest for your own damn interest rather than for the country?? Whats your point?

tired: what good did your protest against the maoist atrocities do?......did they stop ? and we dont need to show off that we have that light and spirit inside.....i bet all the nepalis have that light inside them....the spirit of freedom......there are better ways dude....and what do you mean by did we care to follow up? we cared to follow up that is why there were so many elections....that is why almost all of them got a chance to be ministers....but none of them proved their worth......we are blaming them cuz they deserve the blame......there is no way that these mofos should run the country again.... and i think our duty is to work hard and i think because of all the hard work of the nepalis the national income and the per capita income grew....but the money went into the pockets of the politicians and you got the wrong logic bro....i never wanted the maoists to run the country.....so the King is our only hope now and hope its for the ppl......lets hope he doesnt not fail easily.....infact he should not fail cuz hes got most of our supports.

Jaynepal dude I absolutely support Ganendra (on a short term) and his current decision on one ground. With all the democratic rights suspended it has become absolutely easy to do the clean up job. I mean cleaning up and getting rid of all leaders of all political parties at central level . The Maoist have already done their part, that is, they have cleaned up the mess at the local level. Now it is the turn of Ganendra's team to complete the remaining job of cleaning up at the central level.

peace peace peace! why isn't there peace in the country now? tell me jaynepal, tell me happy forever, why isn't there peace in the country? isn't it because of the maoists. and where are they getting their support? isn't it from the inequality in the society? from the force of their gun? remember, inequality brought the maoist problem, the maoists did not bring social inequality. and why aren't people revolting? because they are not powerful. we have seen what can happen when people rise up against the maoists. and that has to happen all over the nation. people will never rise up to face the atrocities if they are suppressed. you think this will bring peace. well, if you want to be an ostrich and close your eyes and ears to all that's going on then it is peace everywhere anywhere. you say there can be no democracy without peace. but, there can be no peace without democracy either. what we need to do is rise up. against all atrocities. against all bullshit. rise up against the maoist suppression. rise up against the royal oppression. it is we, the people, who have the power, not them. is that coherent enough? and yeah, there was peace and quiet before 1990, you say. well that is your urban viewpoint. the inequalities created then, directly contributed to the success fo the maoists. and the suppression of people then, allowed the maoists to flourish.

junkie bro: ok, let's do away with the netas we had. i agree. we need better ones, i agree. but why do we want to keep thinking of ourselves as slaves of some leader or the other to help us do this, help us do that. why don't we do somehting ourselves. why don't you become a leader in your own right and do something. we will all help. now if you say you don't want to do it, then i guess you have no right to complain either. and what did my protests do? not much. really. and i did not say that to show-off. i was just answering an earlier question. but yes, it did bring about a few people together to share their grief. it did bring about a few people to share their hope for the future. and it did bring a solidarity between a small group of people. on the grand scale of things, what does that matter? nothing. but if we can have thousands and thousands of those nothings, we can come up with something. yes we can. don't you think? and bro, talking about corruption. don't tell me there was no corruption in panchayat. if there was any less corruption in panchayat (and i doubt that), that was simply because we had less population, our per capita income was low etc. there has always been corruption in our society, in fact any society. that is a cheap excuse to give up our freedom. there have always been bullies like maoists, that too is a cheap excure to give up our freedom.

Jay Nepal dude I have no prob. supporting Ganendra's current move for a short term until he finishes the job of cleaning up of politicians of all political parties at the central level because the Maoists at this point are not able to that job as the Maoist dont have enough ooperation capabilities to reach out to leaders of all political parties who all live in major cities of Nepal. Once Ganendra's team finishes the cleaning job where his army has control...we'll give the Maoist a chance to finish off the Ganendra's Army as well. After then Nepal will raise a completely new armed forces from the scratch which is deviod of Ganendra's influence or his supporters.

Tired I got yoru point completely and I'm pretty much sure I know how maoist eveloved rom all those leftist group, what was going on then, how the ppl in the rural area were being treated by so called democratic cops, and other powere abusers. But, the movement they started back then is completely different from whats it is happenning in present situation and for his present situation I'd blame all these so called MULTI PARTIES who were struglling for powers all the damn time, who wanted to have election ever 6 damn months, who wanted to fight and have NEPAL-BANDHA for no damn reason, and all those clown in the street who would act just like the puppet of the leaders and move accordingly without analyzing what would have been better. Go back to nepal and ask few of the people why they joined NEPALI CONGRESS, and UML, and similar other parties....their answer would probably cause they think one party is cooler than other one. They don't even know what these name probably means. People in nepal dont' even have no clue on how the politics are really being played. We all love our freedom an hope we get it the way we all want!!

tired dude: there is no peace now that is why the King took over to restore peace........and the maoists insurgency did not occur in any of the King's regime......rephrase your statement that "there is no peace without democracy".....everything started after democracy....its because of these politicians who abused democracy......and inequalities didnot occur because of the King its because of our culture and the caste system.....and social imbalances are every where and its impossible to eliminate......the only thing is that all teh nepalis should get what they deserve and what they've worked hard for.......the maoist insugency is because of the few educated fools threatning and brainwashing the sojho jantas......noone wins in war.....we dont want to fight the maoists cuz after all the sojho jantas die......we want to talk....and thats what the King is trying to do now......

I know Gyane will not last long... but his action should appreciated for expedited solution in Nepal. I still wonder for what he did all this? He could live luxury life for good. If you say hedid allthis for name in the history... the human race will be one day wiped out from the fact of earth for sure. What for?

well jaynepal ji, i understand. we are all frustrated. and i know you want good for nepal, your name is jaynepal! yes, the neta are fukcing bastards. i agree. but the only way to get better at this through democratic practice. when i started walking, and i fell, it would have done me no good to just ask help from someone else. and anyway, this king is no saadhhoo himself. he is one of the most corrupt one. so, we cannot expect anything from him, except oppression and suppression.
