>>Ashujee,
>>What did you have to say to Paramendra's detailed analysis/ rebuttal above?

I think every in-between individual should be given sufficient time to draft a good, grammatically flawless, in-between response, with dude-I-read-the-guardian-and-the-Harvard-business-review-regularly citations, a couple of Nepali journalists' names, and arguments that make unsuccessful attempts to bash people from outside the valley who are now in the US (who apparently did not give up a Wall Street job to "serve" their country by writing biweekly columns in national weeklies)!

Have patience, folks! We the in-betweens firmly believe -- almost in every issue -- that the situation here in Nepal is messier than what you can see from the other side of the Atlantic. We don't have a solution. But your clean solution will not work either, because we are in-betweens and we are not willing to believe anything you say. Let's face it, we are going to remain in this messy situation for ever. Btw, before I forget, it's the cowardice nature of outside the valley people who are in the US that prompts them every now and then to come up with provocative ideas. For further confusion and generalizations, feel free to contact us. Sincerely, the In-between.

M.P.

Great sense of humor.
I like it.
Keep it up.

It's fun to blow off steam by smiling at your jokes.

Meantime, my strategy as someone who genuinely does NOT know much but wants to learn a lot is to read up as much as I can and till 2 am about other countries and try to understand/see different perspectives re: how they coped with their armed struggles to push for democracy and better economy.

Mailadai,

Unfortunately for you, and happily for me, I do verifiably have:

a) relatives outside of KTM, and
b) plenty of friends who are from outside-of-KTM
c) BUT I am NOT excited by the results of the Sajha polls for the VERY SAME REASON
that I am not excited by the student polls printed in Drsiti and made famous by Nepe with amusing qualifiers. Both polls suffer form various degrees of self-selection
biases, and each appeals ONLY to the partisanally delusional crowd.

But unhappily for both of us:
a) I am not eating tato tato momo, and I do miss Nepal.

Other than that, after some travels this week, I'll return again (if this thread is still up) next week to answer others' concerns.

After all, kaam ta garnai paryo, yaar!!

oohi
ashu

I agree on some points of Standforyourrights and by theory of democracy, and do not agree with Standforyourrights when I observed and analyzed of the facts and reality of Nepali political situation.

Theory of Democracy:

(1) Freedom of speech and peaceful protests.
(2) Equality or equal treatment on all human kind.
(3) Respect and equal treatment of all races, religions, cultures, languages and heritages.
(4) Human Rights, Civil Rights, Woman Rights and Children Rights.
(5) All Human under the constitution, law, order, rule and regulation.
(6) All human kind will have equal justice and safety for their life.

Note: These wonderful words and sentences are promised by illusion of democracy.

Reality of Nepalese democracy in 50 years:

(1) Never ever implemented Freedom of speech and peaceful protests against ruling parties.
(2) All Nepalese never ever treat equally ? most of the native Nepalese tribes never ever get easily or respectably Nepalese Citizenship. Always need to bribe for Nepalese citizenship. These native tribes never ever get chance to have government employments or access in education.
(3) One race dominant rule country system. All Nepalese never ever treat as Nepali Citizens. Native Nepalese force on systemic isolation in education and government employments.
(4) Bahunism or Racism was openly practices in Nepali Government and political parties where native people never ever lift up their social lives, history, languages, religion, culture and heritages. Some of these tribe not even included as Nepali.
(5) Human Rights, Civil Rights, Woman Rights and Children Rights NEVER EVER TRULY EXISTED in Nepalese Political history. Abuse, Hemulation, Mis-use of power, Mis-treatment, Isolation, Rap, Slavery, Killing and Disappearance are openly and freely practiced. All Rights and Social Organization became easy and free protective as well as survival tool for corrupted, moral less and criminals of Nepal.
(6) Bribery and mis-use of power control constitution, law, order, rule and regulation.
(7) There are no such things like equal justice, treatment and safety of life.

These are only few problems in the History of 50 years old Nepali Democracy that cannot blamed to the King. King may not the excellent Nepali leader but he is good Nepali leader among all Nepalese crooks.

FIND OUT ROOT CAUSESE/PROBLEMS OF NEPAL AND FIND OUT TRUE SOLUTIONS.

ALL NEPALESE must know weakness and straight of the country. We must figure out by now the ROOT CAUSES or ROOT PROBLEMS of the country, and then Nepalese must find out solutions.

Braking as if street dogs and running around like a mouse are not a wise solution.

Braking Dog and Running Mouse means ? looking for Human Rights, Crappy Political Unity, Democracy, Peace and Freedom.
