Nepe your question: तिमीलाई आँप खानुसंग मतलब छ कि रुख गन्नुसित ?

The person who's been talking about giving out mangoes in Nepal, Nepe, is still right here in the US. So you are saying you're not going to be in nepal to plant the seeds but to reap the fruits - if those are available? I am concerned about those seeds germinating first and want to know when you're going to go back and plant those seeds. Also my other question is when were you last back in the soil just to check to see if you know the condition of the soil where the seeds need to be planted.

So why don't you tell us your fans, when you're going to go plant the seeds for the fruit you keep talking about, and when the last time was when you were able to find out about the condition of the soil first hand.

AntiG, I enjoyed your first posting immensely. It had analyzed, disected, predicted Nepe and Nepe's behaviour as a seer. Now you are stooping down to Nepe level calling him a pig. Please please for our sake don't go down that path. You will lose your creditbility.

YOU HAVE WON. Why rub the wound with salt as we say in Nepal? It is not very becoming of you.

Surgical incision into the frontal lobe of the brain
to sever one or more nerve tracts, a technique
formerly used to treat certain mental disorders
but now rarely performed.

Obviously it was performed on Nepe and the rest of the gang of 4.

Stupid stupid stupid idiot people!! People with lobotomy. people like Nepe, AnilJshahi, and our dear old Anti_freaking Monarqi. And slew of other followers with less than an ounce of a brain.

When the head of the state of India comes, Indians are proud how much it got the coverage. When the head of the state of Pakistan comes the same thing all over the US and in their country. And look at us the moronic Nepali with lobotomized brain! We go and protest when the head of the state comes. We call him names, we spill our frustration -sexual, menial, and what not - in front of the world.

Do you think Paravez was elected? Do you think all Pakistanis are happy with the state of their state? Indian primeministere is elected, yes, I agree. But, do you think people are happy with the rampant corruption, death by flood and what not in their country??? Do you see them protesting infron of their motorcade?? OF COURSE NOT. BECAUSE they are not as stupid as our "DEMOCRATIC" Clique here.

Stupid stupid stupid moronic, lobotomized people.

PSC,

Lest you should accuse me of being totally out of touch with ground realities in Nepal again, the following assessment of press freedom in Nepal was given by a prominent and well-respected journalist based in Nepal:

Despite increased leniency on the press on a NATIONAL level, the government of Nepal continues to harass and intimidate the journalists on a LOCAL level. SOME easing of restrictions on a national level also looks more like a gesture to hide -- particularly to the international community -- the LARGER picture of their mistreatment of the press.

For a full written summary of Kunda Dixit's presentation, click on "Bichaar Bimarsha" at

or, you can also access the complete audio transcript at:

The above assessment also attributes to the fact that the security forces are being more pro-active in curtailing civil liberties than confronting the Maoists. We all know how much more emboldened the Maoists have become after February 1st.

Also, regarding the military aid, please convince me that RNA is not laden with corruption, nepotism, etc., and that they have not, and will not, abuse -- both internally AND externally (against the civic population) -- funds available for them.

Now, if you still think all this is "bullshit," then I have nothing more to add to our discussion. Let us agree to disagree. :)

Nemesis,

Perhaps it's because minority Indian population who loathes some aspects of their government, which was ELECTED by the majority, still RESPECTS the democratically elected government.

Pakistanis too, despite Musharraf's dictatorial attributes, by and large perhaps RESPECT him for whatever reasons -- despite being unelected, perhaps they perceive him as one of their own because he was not born into power, and that perhaps they see him as being genuinely concerned for people?s welfare. This goes without saying that when Musharraf was in NY, a group of Pakistanis did make their opposition heard in the streets of NY. It is not necessary to keep up with the news all the time, but if you wish to make a serious comment about something, it might be helpful.

Gyanendra Shah, on the other hand, BOTH by the virtue of him being UNELECTED, and by the virtue of his deeds, in the eyes of some Nepalis, is not deserving of the same respect that Musharraf and Man Mohan get from their respective people. That's all.

I enjoyed discussing you but I also felt same way that I agree to disagree with you.

But, before I stop commenting on your remarks, I would like to make some comments on your latest remarks.

Quote of Kunda Dixit ? Dudh ko Sakshi Biralo. What else he expect to write more in his ?Nepali Times? as he and his team are writing any thing he wants, particularly before and after ? 2 Feb Emergency?? We are enjoying his ?weekly? (basically it is balanced) and his brother?s Himal Khabar Patrika (mainly anti monarchy). There are other MUKHPATRA of various political parties celebrating GAIJATRA almost round the year. After seeing day to day news paper in internet do you still believe Kunda? Try to believe yourself as well.

So far as local level journalists and local news papers are concerned, I think taboo put on them is ?not to write anything which supports/encourages Maoists terrorism and have negative impacts on security forces operations?. Such taboos are enforced by any countries involved in war and that applies to the USA and other democratic world as well.
Regarding remarks made by Kunda, in order to justify his democratic postures, he has to criticize on something for the sake of doing so. Otherwise how can he fulfill his mission for which he has come all the way to USA? Obviously he can?t say freedom of speech and press freedom is restored at least to western mass.

Anil, give some solid example. If you have presented multiple views from multiple sources, then I would have accepted. If you are following news of Nepalese media, hen tell me from your heart, what more do you expect media to write? What is the impact of local level media in our villages?
Believe me informational war is one of the key deciding factors, particularly when question of winning hearts and minds comes. Maoists are also going all out to influence through information/propaganda war. Obviously government will also try to achieve supremacy in this field.

More to follow

Regarding Military Aid to RNA ? What corruption and nepotism had to do with military aid in terms of kind (not cash) for a nation?s war against terrorism? There are other ways and means to deal with corruption. It is important to recall an action taken few years ago - even a General with the last name RANA was charged and jailed on a corruption charge. If we talk about nepotism, it exists every where but I was told by many army officers that career development system in RNA is the most transparent as compared to other government services. They can predict whether they will make higher rank or not and also when exactly they will be promoted. I need to verify this but we don?t hear much of RANA and SHAHA surnames at General level these days, where as all casts (Gurung, Magar, Newar, Bahun, Damai, Rai, Limbu) are holding top ranks. Most of the Division Commanders and brigade Commanders that we hear in media justify that fact. By the way, Nepal ko prachalan ? Doctor ko chhora Doctor; Byapari ko Chhora Byapari (no matter he is doctor or engineers); Neta ko chhora Neta and Raja ko Chhora Raja hune ta prachalan nai chha.
Do you record any incident since 2nd Feb that any democratic activists are killed by military bullets even during emergency? Also is there any evidence that RNA is brought in to street to counter the democratic protest? RNA is the only organization which was not politicized, that is why this organization is becoming target of political parties. It is protecting country, people and monarchy. It also protects head of the governments, who so ever he is or which ever party he belongs to.

Regarding targeting Civilian Population ? I personally haven?t heard so far that RNA is mobilized to counter democratic movements. There are civilian casualties while countering Maoists but certain percent of collateral damage is unavoidable in any kind of war where insurgents are using human being as a shield. I think even Human Rights of RNA are also too much exaggerated. Stopping military aid to RNA means weakening RNA?s efforts to fight against Maoist. If you think RNA should not be mobilized to counter the Maoists then that is other thing.

Recognition of present Government ? You agree or disagree, the present government led by King G is the only legitimate one and they will represent Nepal in upcoming GA. If Girija, or Makune or even Prachanda lead any delegation instead, they are not even allowed to enter beyond 2nd Ave. At the most they can take detour to reach up to 47th St. where you guys plan to gather.

UML decides to go for 'democratic republicanism'

The ongoing Central Committee meeting of the CPN -UML Thursday passed the political report presented by general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, proposing ?democratic republicanism? as the main goal of the democratic movement of the seven parties.

After a weeklong hectic debate over the proposal, the majority of the Central Committee endorsed Nepal?s proposal with some amendment, UML officials informed.

The proposal stresses the need to make democratic republicanism as the common political goal of the ongoing democratic movement and seeks an end to ?autocratic monarchy? for absolute democracy.

Democratic forces must oppose the ?present form of autocratic monarchy? as the King?s successive moves broke the power equation of 1990, the proposal said.

The UML meet also decided to move towards absolute democracy, which, in principle, is democratic republicanism, through an election to constituent assembly calling upon the allies of the seven-party movement to push for it.

Three central leaders ? Mukunda Neupane, Bishnu Poudel and Krishna Gopal Shrestha, tabled their note of dissent opposing the decision of the Central Committee to go for democratic republicanism. They said republicanism could not be the immediate goal of the seven-party movement in the present situation.

Meanwhile, a committee headed by Standing Committee member Jhal Nath Khanal presented its evaluation report on the party?s organizational activities and the performance of the ousted Sher Bahadur Deuba government of which UML was an ally -- at today?s meeting.

Dubbing the Deuba coalition as a failed government, Khanal?s report holds the party leadership responsible for the poor performance of that government, UML sources said.

The meeting will continue on Friday .

*****************************************************************************
Nepal will be democratic replubic soon. It's agenda for major political parites including Maoist. Now it is time for Nepali Congress to change its idealogy. Soon or later they will do it.

Anti-G,

You have crossed every limit of abuse and shown utterly disgusting psychotic behavior (putting even small time abusers of the house to shame !). It seems you are taking yourself too seriously. Unless and until you come out as a real person, let me give you what I give to all abusers anonymous: a rat's end, okay an elephant's end.

कुकुर भुक्तै गर्छ, हात्ती लस्कदैं गर्छ !

There is absolutely nothing you can do to change me except making me ignore you. Keep testing. If I was an elephant, will remain as elephant, no matter how viciously you keep barking. Been there, done that.

PSC,

You can not compare a political rally with a visit of a head of the government (let's not debate the legitimacy part).

Give me the maximum attendance in any of pro-king and anti-democracy political rally of any time since the King took power in September 2002, if you really want to compare.

In any case, and in all fairness, Gyanendra might muster some genuinely political votes (including mine, really), if he declares Nepal a republic and go for a LEGITIMATE political life by taking part in elections. Wouldn't it be great ? Snap solution to the Maoist problem, snap solution to political parties' leadership problem and, most important of all, snap solution to the problem of the accommodation for King's irrepressible political ambition (to do good to people, granted) in one go !

May be we should talk to Gyanendra to persuade him to do this noble thing for country than showing black flags and irritating him more in New York, as you have suggested ?

As for the Maoists, my point for not talking with them was to keep the political pressure on for their forceful "democratization" (they can keep their brand of communist, but not the product). However, not talking with them is not sufficient. Political parties (pro-change group within, if not the whole party) and civil society should viciously attack the Maoists, not only on the soft issues (violence), but also on the hard issue (ultimate communist republic). Civil society seems to be content with condemning the violence but talking softly about the issue of political ideology. This does not send the appropriate signal to the Chairman Prachanda. Very strong signal that no compromise in democracy is acceptable to Nepali people should go to both Chairman Prachanda and Chairman Gyanendra

Political parties themselves are going through a great evolution of democratization. So they are not going to appear neat and tidy in what they do, appear, say and mean. Constitutional monarchy-to-Ceremonial monarchy-to-Republic are various mental stages of the same transformation they are going through. Ceremonial monarchy is not a distinct political system envisioned. Yesterday Pradip Nepal of UML appeared a total joker when Rabindra Mishra of BBC grilled him to explain it. Today, UML passed democratic republic !

As I said earlier, at the end of the day, we will see how hollow the idea of negotiation and compromise was and how unwise was it not to talk about the fundamental point of democracy (republicanism) where eventually all political protagonists would converse.

Tsk, tsk Nepe. What happened to your ?tough skin? and all that trash you like to talk about YOUR intellectual might? : ) Not so tough skinned after all. Especially not when taking a dose of your own medicine : )

For an individual who does not identify with the word ?limit,? you are quite defensive today Nepe. Did somebody get under your skin and make you feel uncomfortable? Did you look at yourself in the mirror and see through your fraudulent self? Are you second-guessing yourself these days? Do you feel your confidence level has slipped a few notches?

Psychotic behavior??? : ) Who? Where? When Nepe goes around playing his games, pretending to be three different people at the same time, using those different names to praise himself, pretending he is the bulwark of the republican movement, talking trash to anyone and everyone who does not agree with him? apparently, this is very ?normal? behavior?

But when someone else puts Nepe through his own ringer, notes that Nepe?s tone has subdued over night, challenges Nepe to answer 6 simple questions (posted for everyone to read) and paints the most realistic image of Nepe for everyone to see, the person is obviously ?psychotic.? Right Nepe? Sure. Whatever you say : )

No Nepe, I think it is YOU who is taking ME too seriously : ) For if I were guilty of your characterization (too serious), I wouldn?t waste my time whipping a pansy like you and showing to everyone else, what you?re really about.

Haha. And then comes the mother of all crybaby statements? ?waa waa stop it or I will ignore you waa waa?? hahaha. I thought you had at least a bit of sense Nepe. Don?t you get it? It doesn?t matter at all if you ignore me or not ? especially for a ego-centric sociopath like you, it matters A WHOLE LOT more if other people DON?T ignore me.. and sadly enough for you, the won?t : )

I?m not here to ?change? you Nepe, although the reality is, you have gone from a wannabe ?sher? on this site whining, weeping sissy. I?m just here to give all those people you look down upon with a fake intellectually superior smirk and talk down to (with your less than fool proof logic), what the REAL Nepe is like.

And that?s exactly what I?m doing. : )

Yeah Nepe, I?ve been there and done that too. In fact I?m going there and doing it again with your dumb ass, don?t you see? Hahahaa : )

Your signature should read more like ?Nepe the Exposed? hahaha.

And don?t be so anxious. I keep telling, you will see me very very soon and you will KNOW who I am when you do. I am very much looking forward to ?meeting? you face-to-face. : )

Nemesis ?

Nepe knows exactly where reference of ?sungoor? comes from. He may not talk about it on this site, but he knows and he knows that I know too : ) Don?t you Nepe?

One has to stoop down pretty damn low to get to Nepe level, don?t they? Well, here I am, giving Nepe a good dose of his own bull shit.

Sorry friend, I have no credibility to lose here. People like yourself have the option to read, digest and interpret whether or not what I write is the truth. And you may not read it every single time or agree with the content, but that is just the way it goes. Unlike Nepe, if you don?t like it, I won?t hover around here and try to shove it down your throat.

Anti_G ; )

Nepe -

You have presented a very good solution. Instead of living in the USA you must go to Nepal to act as a facilitator. I think you found a really workable formulae, on which Maoists will easily laydown their weapons and join the mainstream. King will abolish the monarchy system and contest the election. Corrput leaders of NC and UML will ultimately be the winner.
Do you think it is that simple? Do you think the kind of republican system and the one you perceived are same? Do you think your black flag at 47th street will give enough pressure to kneel down the King?
If we try to look any solution without all-inclusive framework, nothing will be long lasting.
However, I do agree with some of your suggested approach to deal with Maoists. Maoists are following the mass oriented movement; to counter them the government side must also be able to mobilize the mass against them. The pressure tactics that you've mentioned is one of the viable means to pressure the Maoists.
