Artists Durga Kharel and Tika Pun sang selected songs of Late Narayan Gopal. DC Athletics Club won the Bhanubhakta Memorial Volleyball Tournaments.
While historian Pratyoush Onta (Kathmandu Post, October 27, 1996 Book Review) continues his quest to challenge the credits of Bhanu Bhaktas Ramayana in Nepali Society, Nepalese diaspora in North America, once again continues to celebrate the history without too much delving in the real history of how it all began.
