Subject: Houston, USA joins INLS Global Network (05/22/04)

Dear community members,

International Nepali Literary Society (INLS) and Nepalese Association of Houston (NAH) have jointly formed INLS Houston Chapter to transition School of Languages and Cultures of Nepal, Washington DC as well as conduct other literary activities in Houston. INLS Houston Chapter will work as language and literature focus group of NAH. INLS-Houston and NAH are jointly planning to celebrate Bhanu Jayanti in Houston on July 11 for the first time. International Nepali Literary Society (INLS), local chapter in Houston Texas, is non-political and non-profit organization. It was established in 2004. It is an organization of members who are interested in languages and literature of Nepal.

INLS Houston Chapter Mission:

As an internationally established organization dedicated in promoting, preserving and creating awareness of Nepali languages and literature through out the world, our mission is to uphold our excellent reputation and consistently exceed the expectation of Nepalis and friends of Nepal by providing significant encouragement for, and facilitating the process of learning, reading, writing, publishing, distributing cost efficient, high quality Nepalese literary works.

INLS recently formed a founder executive committee on May 22nd, 2004, full of energy and enthusiasm, to move forward to meet the demands and challenges of time and fulfill its objectives.
