Light-bulb Ban Helps Intellectually Challenged Prince Top British public school Eton College has imposed a ban on pupils changing light bulbs, which means Prince Harry will be relieved of at least one potentially tricky task as he retakes his final year again. The academically struggling royal was held back a year after failing exams following drink and drug revelations and will now be able to concentrate on his academic studies instead of struggling to complete menial tasks. The ban emerged in a letter written by Harrys 15 year old schoolmate Will Jennings, who raised the issue in the Eton Chronicle. Boys are not allowed to put in their own light bulbs, which means that if one blows, a house maid must be found to solve the problem, said Will. The new rule could, however, leave Harry vulnerable to power cuts and also expose him to cruel jokes such as how many pot smoking princes does it take to change a light bulb? (Answer: Two; one plus ones nurse-maid). |

Is It OK to Feel Annoyed When Someone's Copying You? Barefoot Doctor: Being someone whom others seem to copy a lot I have to say that being copied is quite flattering but it also feels a little like people are stealing something from you. However, given that whatever you put out always comes back to you, its always best to wish the copiers well and have compassion towards them because that frees you up to continue reinventing yourself, so staying one step ahead in the bigger picture. Of course, in an ideal world, everybody would have the creative imagination and confidence to be original, but todays reality is that thieves and magpies abound, so all we can do is wish them well and concentrate on realizing our own visions. |

Glastonbury Chief Monitors E-Bay Scalpers Glastonbury Festival organisers have warned people selling tickets on E-bay that they wont receive their tickets, after this years event sold out in an astonishing 24 hours. Festival chief Michael Eavis told the Standard that theyve been emailing ticket scalpers and telling them the tickets are non-transferable, even though black market prices have already reached £400. Im obviously pleased that people think were valuable and want to come, said Eavis. But to be honest, its not worth £400, its worth £105. In the past, people who have bought these tickets expect flush loos (toilets) everywhere. We dont want people expecting a five star campsite. Moby and Radiohead headline this years event, which takes place in June 27-29. |

UK Government Slams United Nations Drug Lies British government minister Bob Ainsworth this week attacked an extremely misleading report published by the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), which criticised UK plans to reclassify cannabis as Class C. Claiming the UN backed organisation had applied selective and inaccurate use of statistics the minister expressed his dismay at the reports misleading statements, in an unusually direct letter sent to INCB chief Herbert Schaepe. It does great damage to the credibility of the messages we give to young people about the dangers of drug misuse if we try to pretend that cannabis is as harmful as drugs such as heroin and crack cocaine, said Mr Ainsworth (significantly writing on behalf of the United Kingdom Government). It quite clearly is not, and if we do not acknowledge that by ensuring our drugs law accurately reflect the relative harms of drugs, young people will not listen to our messages about the drugs which do the greatest harm, he added. The Minister concluded by saying his officials will be challenging the INCB report at the upcoming conference in Vienna and will be correcting the extremely misleading picture the report presents. |
