I have a question. If we have a valid Social security card with my name on it but out of school already can we still work if the SS card doesn't say "Allowed to work only with INS athorization '" ?? I mean will they find out if I am working in a good place? Please reply..

LUMA,
I think you can work anywhere you want in united states if you have a SS card without the print "Allowed to work only with INS athorization only. " Not go out there and work your ars off!

Kimu fill out 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ.
You have only until april 15th to fill it out

You know the SS department made a mistake and forgot to write "Allowed to work with INS Authorization only" Can i still work? Do you think the company I am going to work will ask for some more proof? How do I collect tax with this SS? Please let me know.

I wish SS dept had done same mistake with my card. Since you don't have that 'dhabba' on your card, you can work wherever you want, however you want, whenever you want.

you can work on the ma 'nn pa shops. i.e. like gas stations, etc. etc. no problem.
but in the company you would need the A-XXXXXXX number i.e. the Alien number as well as the part of identification of the employee..... or you would have to prove your legal status ... [ you can say you are an American citizen and get away with it.... (o:) ]
