It was always expected, and it happened. A
motivated rebel force,with probably wrong
but strongly abetting cause, carried out the
raid of the strategical location that was
less than a bulwark positioned precariously
down the hills that were pregnable,
vulnerable and bare.

The government,in the aftermath of the
attack, decided to utilize all the security
apparatus under its command.Probably the
army, the long term dream of the rebels itself
and an axiomatic confession that our police
force lost the fight.Or the rebels won the
first phase of the fight.

I don't know what is this fight for?If this
for emancipation or for the advent of another
pshycopath pariah government in this world
which will be astonished at this trenddefying
news?

I am really nonchalant in this conflict. Why
should I support Girija and his crumbling
statecraft which openly shows disregard for
human right and which talks of imposing
press sanction whenever the press goes
against its action? Girija got so many
chances, actually he is the main beneficiary
of the 2046 movement, but what he did? He
has been one of the most greatest
disappointment of our contemporary politics.

Let's talk about Dr Babu Ram Bhattarai. I
try to remember him, and again and again his
famous sandals comes to my mind. He belongs
to the same alma mater as that of mine, ascol,
the greatest college of the our era(!), and
he iconifies the power of mofussil boys. They
are gritty, comes to attend cheap colleges in
the capital and ends up with good grade,
lost opportunities and political conscience,
probably rebellion.I remember the time when
I ,after winning the education ministry
granted scholarship after I.Sc.,couldn't find
any officer level person to vouchsafe for my
integrity(by writing recommendation letter
which was just a formality..).Babu Ram was
always an outsider, a son of farmer who can
be monster but from insides tries to be
benign, the director of killer squads in
western Nepal rightnow,Babu Ram is an living
example of the vicissitude of life. Now he is
poised to fight against the army which was
used to unite Nepal some centuries ago.

Despite my unwavering fealty to democratic
institution,I have been tired of sham
institutions of Nepal.Who to believe? The
ministers are implicated in divers corruption
cases, the son of royal family does anything
he wants in the street and still is
sacrosanct, the MPs in PAC are themselves
charged with bargaining, who to believe in
this dark era? Which is democracy? Where is
democracy? Where is the safeguard of public
life?

The army ,once unleashed, doesn't just go
back to barrack.Once given a reasonable slice
of budget, doesn't become complacent in less.
Remember the army of Pakistan? All those
core commanders were called Crore Commanders
for their accumulation of properties. Every
reason exists that ours are not more honest
than theirs.

Don't know what relation this article has
with GBNC and this website, but I just felt
compelled to write this article,so that we
can refrain from jumping into any conclusion
about the impending inception of new kind
of civil war in the kingdom of Nepal.

The concern expressed by you, Biswoji, is a valid one. It relates in everyway with GBNC if GBNC considers itself an organization of and for Nepalis.

In my opinion, situation in nepal (regarding the Maoist problem)is bound to worsen. Most of the responsible people-people who are in responsible position-are either ignoring the situation or shifting responsibility and blame to others.

What to do? It is a serious question for all the Nepalis living within or outside the kingdom. In Nepal, democracy only exits in words not in action.

Biswoji, What I meant by "responsible persons" is the persons who are responsible to execute the duties of the positions that they are representing". I did not mean the persons who are holding responsible positions are responsible persons. I totally agree most of the persons who should be responsible are the most irresponsible persons.
I read back what I wrote and saw how my writing gave a room for wrong interpretation.

Wr all raise a simple yet grave question "WHAT TO DO?" but who is going to answer?
