Yeah, I'm sure the kid in the picture really appreciated having his image being used in this way!
SITARA Posted on 12-Apr-03 04:48 AM

Hey, just a small part of collateral damage for the liberators and war mongers!

Horrifying!
mack Posted on 12-Apr-03 05:24 AM

saddam was doing much worse to his own people. did anyone read about how saddam's son udday tortured iraqui atheletes who lost in olympics? thats worse then loosing both arms
bhedo Posted on 12-Apr-03 05:30 AM

This isn't right. A horribly injured kid being used as a poster child for advancing an agenda of some bleeding heart liberal. How insensitive can one be?
mack Posted on 12-Apr-03 06:05 AM

nothing can do any worse than what has already happened to this kid. but this picture shows the reality of the war. I think whoever put up the picture, did the right thing. This picture is helping the kid and iraq not penalizing either.

and this says how expensive is freedom...yet we all take it for granted.

had anyone seen the pictures of Saddam's attrocities one might think this is not too much of a price to pay after all. (dont take me wrong....i am not de-sympathizing the injured kid. this is a personal loss for the kid, I hope his fellow citizens will pay him back in the future)
Satya Posted on 12-Apr-03 08:46 AM

Saddam and his gang tortured his own people while Bush and his gang is torturing people in foreign countries. Is there any similarity?
Biruwa Posted on 12-Apr-03 12:57 PM

excuse me! You kill and maime people. And we can't even show their picture.
Some human rights huh!
mack Posted on 12-Apr-03 01:27 PM

satya and biruwa,

Satya Posted on 12-Apr-03 11:00 PM

Hello mackji!

Your assumption that I might be a politician or photographer tells who is confused. For your information, I am not privileged to be a politician nor aphotographer.
salakjith Posted on 13-Apr-03 05:49 PM

That picture was taken from http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/030406/170/3qcru.html&e=5&ncid=996

the caption of which reads:

Ali Ismail Abbas, 12, wounded during an airstrike according to hospital sources, lies in a hospital bed in Baghdad, April 6, 2003. Abbas was fast asleep when war shattered his life. A missile obliterated his home and most of his family, leaving him orphaned, badly burned and blowing off both his arms. 'It was midnight when the missile fell on us. My father, my mother and my brother died. My mother was five months pregnant,' the traumatized boy told Reuters at Baghdad's Kindi hospital. 'Our neighbors pulled me out and brought me here. I was unconscious,' he said on Sunday. REUTERS/Faleh Kheiber

Satya Posted on 14-Apr-03 08:36 AM

My dear mack,

What the hell are you talking about? Which picture? If you mean picture in this thread then you need to wash your brain clean before accusing somebody. Where did I mention this picture is my copyright?

First of all, I have not tried to take credit on any thing posted here. Do you mean I tried to expose your myth thinking about me?

The picture in this thread is posted by salkjith and it is only a link rather than copy and paste. And picture itself displays the source. Sane people will not think it necessary to indicate the source when the link itself is the source and source is clearly printed on the picture.

You could continue to laugh like a lunatic, I have no objection.
