Tya parako bardali ma spin wheel ghumirahechha---
"firfire" Andy smiles and says.

***
Ke garne yo bhat?
Andy looked at sankanchhi and said "firfire (spinwheel) banaune".
Sankanchhi became excited. Andy and sankanchhi both were sitting on a thamdada thumko looking down at the besi and the bakhre nadi snaking away. Wandering wind at Thamdada also seemed anxious to play with the firfire. Andy just briefly glanced at the gai bastu just a glance was good enough to verify the status of his inventory-gai bastu- scattered and mingled around with others. Sankanchhi also threw her eyes to her inventory and brought her eyes back to Andy's hands busy smoothening a small about 5 inches long half and inch wide- firm choya (bamboo piece) with a karda.

Andy was a class seven student at Saraswoti Nimna Madhyamik Vidyalaya, which was situated below Hatdada. On every first and the fifteenth of the month hatdada used to rock with hatbazaar garna aauneharuka chahalpahal le. People from all over the place used to come there even from the villages across bakhre nadi and guhye kholo. People from the lekh used to bring tarul, vyakkur, raharlagda rayo ka saag, mula and aaloo and the people from the besi used to bring mainly rice. Oil used to be sold in mana and karuwa, rice in pathis. Scale was not so popular. Andy always loved to attend every hat and insist his parents on buying him a fulting (fountain pen). He once was successful in persuading his folks buy him a tauke fulting but as luck would have it jhola ma rakheko kalam le ink chhadechha..kitab jhola sabai tira masi nai masi---ani fulting le pani lekhena. Angry Andy pressed little hard to make his fulting write---what did he know---nib bhachchi halyo ni---. Ba le kan dui char chote nimothe Andy ko then ek jhapu diye galama along with some common galis for destroying a brand new pen and also messing up kitab-kapi and a blue dharke jhola-dajuko byama coat silyarea baki bhako kapadale banako. After that he never got a fultingonly seesakalam (pilsing-pencil) was available to him. He wanted to smell the elaser (eraser) but Ba said labbar (rubber) le ni metincha---chaidaina elaser silejar.

Bholi feri hat thyo. Hatko din saraswati ni. Ma. Bi. Ma half chhutti hunthyo. Hatma bechne riban, kilip, mithai were sankanchhi's attraction. After four o'clock a lot of people used to leave the hat because by then ali ojhel patti basera sungurko masu ra raksi enjoy garne haru taatna thalthe&.haahaa ra hooohoo hunthyo. Lahare pipal chauki bata aaka duita police pani mateko surma aru mateka lai control garna khojthe&Usually those policemen used to return to their chauki the next day blaming on the raksi khoche saili made.

Sankanchhi was not allowed to go to school. "chhori manchhe le padhera gharko kam kalle garcha?" Dandako maila (sankanchhi's father) used to counter ask the person who dared to ask him "chhorilai eskool napathaune?"

Andy le halka sanga firfire banaune firm choyako bichma pwal paryo then inserted a chhesko thru that hole and hit on a side of the firfire choya to see how well does the firfire rotates. He did that couple of times. Then he cut a simali ko straight hango and attached the firfire to that simali ko hango with bichma rakheko chheso. Sankanchhi was asking Andy to make a firfire for her too. Andy just looked at sankanchhi ---halka sanga ooth tira orlidai gareko sigan firta naak tirai tanyo did not say a thing then cut a bhat dalera somewhat firmer pareko kagaj into two pieces. Andy plucked a few leaves of banmara then rubbed them over one piece to give it a green color. On the other piece he used a raato raato grass to make it red. Then he applied bhat once again on the firfere and the colored paper pieces then stuck those papers facing opposite sides on the firfire choya. Sankanchhi was about to lift the firfere to let the wind know that the firefire is ready and the wind can play with it. "pakh ek chhin&bhat suknu parchha&natra feri kagaj udauchha hawale" Andy stopped sankanchhi. After a few minutes, Andy held the firfire facing south--sankanchhi also wanted to share the joy so she also held the simali ko danth with Andy&fiririririri sound nikaldai firfire ghumyo&.kahile kahi ta jod sanga ghumera hariyo ra raato color pani dekhidaina thyo&. Andy and Sankanchhi both smiled. Sankanchhi said&"malai ni banaidena euta firfire Nande&" Andy looked at sankanchhika chamikila aankha and said "yai li..".

Andy tried to take his eyes to the same thamdada to see if Sankanchhi is still there with firfire through his apartment window only to see a spin wheel rotating on the balcony of another apartment once again. Madhes ma college padhna aaye pachhi sathiharu le uslai ND bhanthe..He also enjoyed ND over his Nanda Prasad Dahal. That ND is now "Andy" for his Greek boss on whose restaurant he works.

He looked up in the sky saw a wave of clouds rolling in---yi baadalharu mero thamdada tira bata aaka hun ki&with a great affection he kept looking at those clouds. Aakaas ma ud-da baadal lai pani Andy aaja personalize garna khojdai thyo--- uhi thamdada ko nam ma&jun tham dada lai oosle "yo khairate paakho ma ke chha?" bhandai patak patak Ba lai sodhne garthyo----
