Hati Hoina, Dati Ladne - Tara Ko Sanga "Hati hoina, dati ladne Nepaliko bani huncha kahile na jhikne sir utheko swabhimani Nepali hincha" As I remember somebody as had asked for the lyrics of this lovely Nepali patriotic song, and many of our friends were very quick to launch to this opportunity. But, Dont we realize and feel today, we Nepali are losing this "bani" , this spirit and this inclination towards so called hati hoina , dati ladne This fabulous song was written decades ago. It may have been written to boost the spirits of Nepalese soldiers in the warfront .It may be carved to promote the feeling of patriotism towards our country and the king and to show our full devotion towards our rich tradition and culture. Though it was written long ago, it still has a very intense and passionate relevance in he present time. Because, at this moment also - we are at war. Its also not the war against any foreign elements; its not the war where we need our Khukuris to mash the heads of our opponents. Its the war to protect our sovereignty, its the war to protect our "swabhiman", its the war to reclaim our pride. Its the ECONOMIC war against our poverty, our illiteracy and our arrogance towards all these disarray. Every second day we are deteriorating in terms of our financial standings. Every day this is plunging us into deep trouble. We are humiliated each day if we talk our development with the development going on in the so called other developing nations. I have started to feel that our this dati ladne attitude is just changing into a migrating or drifting tendency, with a stance of strong arrogance towards the present situation of our country. Who can make a country- its the people out there-the good ones, the better ones and the best ones. But these people are not right now in our country. As the become good, better or so called best for the efforts they can put for the overall development of the country, they tend to migrate and leave the country reap the opportunities abroad. The golden beautiful ornaments of our mother fly away each day. Yes! I am talking about so called NaRayaNs and others who tend to become NaRayaNs in near future. They are the cream produced by our holy cow; they are the rich pollen produced by our lali gurans. The most precious diamonds, the young blood stream of students, who go to study abroad tend to settle there and never look back. I dont mean to disgust anybody nor am I against the study abroad thinking. But still this tendency is the culprit, I can assure that. " Bishwa ko kuna kapcha ma khoja, Nepaliko mutu ma Khoja Tyaha singo Nepal huncha, tyaha rajarani huncha" ................. ya! this spirits was seen in the jubilant crowd of Nepalese in the new years party of 2060 at Chicago and Boston. The pictures revealed that. This presents we are not still in a worse scenario, what is lacking is the spirit! Yes! The day has come, its today we need to initiate or it will be too late&.This day let us promise ourselves something, anything that can help us and our fellowmen. May be someday the bright sun will shine in Nepal from our efforts today; May be that anybody of us wont be there to see that sun &.. but there will be some some other Nepalese like us, some of our bloods&&Anyway Rome was not built in a day.. I am a study abroad nepali and today I promise myself in the name of lord!

rohit ji!!!! you seems to be too engrossed in patriotic feeling. my thinking is u don't really need to be at ur country to help ur country grow. if u really have a feeling for ur land u can contribute no matter at what part of the world u r. people make country. country does not make people. so if a nepali ascends towards a better tomorrow, it's nepal going for a better tomorrow. So u grow up, i will try to do good. help others to develop. together, u, me and NRANs will make a developed nepal................................. daa

daa......... I beg to differ from you. >>"you don't need to be in the country to help nepal. You can contribute in lot of other ways" Oh well, Yes you can contribute to Nepal in lot of ways from abroad but you cannot help Nepal grow from abroad. If you mean to say specifically helping nepal by sending Dollars and pounds from abroad, I am sorry to say pal, its your "guilty conscience" not your genuine cause to help Nepal. How can Nepal be developed with all the manpower staying abroad? Do you think development will instigate itself without anyone to implement the resource we get from abroad. Nepal does get billions of dollars just as AID? so why do u need to contribute? On second thoughts, everyone has the right to their lives and choose to live anywhere they want in this world. BUT please, Don't give me that same rotten attitude of helping Nepal from abroad.......jus intoxicates those few enraged cells in the grey matter! we all know what nepal needs today........and its NOT MONEY! peace out! P.S. Rohit acharya, some valid points!

Oys, sad but true (kirk's guitar fading). But one case in point favoring " You don't need to be in the country to help Nepal." There are some people who can help Nepal to prosper by remaining outside of the country. Example? Well those bribary-hungry subbas, good-for-nothing Subbas and transformers-banging, Bandh-starting (oxymoron?) vandals. Pun intended.
