Here is an old ghazal of mine for romantic readers. No, it was not published elsewhere. I used to recite it at friends' gathering in college several years ago.

Dear NePe jyu,

Romanized Nepali to Unicode Nepali translation mill is coming soon. First
evaluation version was fantastically fine. A friend of mine who downloaded it
from free website and tested it, it can do the things same as in my computer.
He typed an application that he submitted to CDO office in Nepal using roman
nepali, got the same answer he had to do in Nepal by memorizing the keys,
that he says took hours. Anyway, its really good for occasional Nepali writers.
The great advantage of Unicode that I showed to him was that the Roman
Nepali and Unicode Nepali were saved in a file, that has Name in Nepali.
Lets hope, I will spend my few Golden Days in Japan's Golden week to write
things in Perl, to avoid Sand Bag security stuffs.

Well, I am not in computer sciene or programming world of computer, so,
everything I learned is out of my fun and service oriented motives. So,
I do things in my free evening time.

Java Applet Jinda Bad, unicode jindabad, and GyaTeX that I designed is
also jindabad. Please, be patience and it will surely be available to public
after some refinements. Then, we can input Roman Nepali and get Unicode
fonts, and codes to be passed in html file formats.... . Greatest trouble
to me at this moment is the SANDBAG security in Java, and I don't have
permanent Digital Signature, because Java 's "Sun One Studio" only allows
3 months valid Signature. Nahunu mama bhanda K. Mama niko bhanthe.
Lets hope everything will go fine. May be I will select a few nice guys
for the evaluation of the Unicode Nepali Vending Machine. One of them,
may I select you "Nepe Jyu" as a reviewer?

In this Vending Machine design: there will be two parts:
(1) one will use the Saral Nepali Keyboard. Type Nepali directly using the Saral Nepali Keyboard.

(2) Java Based Java Applet that will not require to remember Saral Nepali KeyBoard, but, will require to follow the GyaTeX, the Roman Nepali Typing Rules.

I am sure common peoples will complain at the beginning, because its the rule of new system, whenever common peoples get new system, they complain that its very difficult to get used to. But, once they learn the new machine, they are reluctant to return to old system. I remember a Professor throwing my home work printed in computer because he used to hate computer, but, after some years he sent a nice email prasing computers. Well, it takes some time.

Sorry for being long. Please, read a new article that I submitted to The Nepal Digest, TND. Anyway, the unicode nepali vending machine will be probably released through TND website, and also be made available at Sajha.com, if the webmasters don't have much problem.

and you will get the Unicode Nepali Vending Machine. As time comes, we can even feed Preeti font based news item and read things in Unicode Nepali.
