Yak yak yak...and that's what you are doing also, Miked. I know, and you know that Nepalese have a tendency to talk, talk and talk. I talk too, at least to feel that my 'talking' is making some sense to myself and the other people I am talking to. I see 'talking' as educating myself and others. And you would agree to this that we rarely see people who talk to motivate others to 'DO.' And the way you wrote, Miked, I don't think you are one who does that, or anyone in this forum. We are still waiting for THE one(s).

iF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LEARN YOU WOULD LISTEN AND LISTEN CAREFULLY TO WHAT THE WORLD IS SAYING INSTEAD OF COOKING YOUR OWN LITTLE BREW. IF YOU YAK ALL THE TIME HOW THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO LISTEN. aND WITHOUT LISTENING HOW ARE YOU GOING TO LEARN. THERE YOU GO YOU'RE CONTRADICTING YOURSELF. THEN AGAIN YAKITY YAK GOES ON.....

MIKED bro or bree, I wouldn't have replied if I had not listened (read, in this case) to your thoughts. But you are right, a big part of the education I mentioned before is listening as well. And I believe that other people who 'yak' are listening (reading) before yakking. Take it easy and lower your cases. :-)

There is a big difference between open logical discussions and gossip chitchatville. This is the information super highway. but the majority of the people seem, they'd rather dwell in the lives of people who are no longer with us. Perfect situation for rumorville. the facts speak for themselves. take it or leave it its your choice. we're not gaining anything from talking about the dead. But how about putting that energy that you spend talking nonsense to actually something good for your country.

Mike D., you are an American? Welcome to GBNC, of course, on the behalf of GBNC. Check out my writings, I have been telling everyone let's move on to our own duties and responsiblities, but I know where they are coming from. King Birendra was a godly figure for most Nepali. I have been living in the US for 15 years, so it is easier for me. Some point, I realized my own responsiblities is more important than worrying about somethings we cannot control. So, take it easy, in time Nepali people will learn to avoid something, which we cannot control. ;) Peace. Robin

Micked...true not good to dwell in past...man its been hardly a week sine the royal family died whom we've known all our lives (at least mine)...we need some closure to this. On top of that we are talking about "insaf" to those who died and the ones who cared about the dead.

Miked, well said. The future will be the outcome of what we do in the present. The present involves not only the foreseeable things for the future, but also the carry-overs from the past. The palace killing is one of them. Not all people are as intelligent and practical as you are, Miked. Most of them are driven by hopes, ridicule and emotion, specially the poor and the uneducated. It's easy to say "let's move on." But it is not as practical as we think it is. We might be able to move on, but there will always be the outcomes of recent happenings on our shoulders. You will see a lot of ridiculed people wondering what will happen in Nepal. The reason is simple. Just like we would wonder what would happen if we were to adopt a dog that has a history of ruthless bitings, it is the same for adopting the new royal family as our heads of nation. That is why you will see a lot of people arguing about the palace killing here or anywhere else. The good thing about the Internet is it has empowered all of us to exchange our ideas, may it be good or bad. If you say "take it or leave it" to the idea that the kings are dead, this applies the same for the discussion that goes along with it. So if you or I think that this discussion board is not good for us, we always have the option to find another one.

WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT UNEDUCATED PEOPLE IN NEPAL. wE ARE TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND ME. IF PEOPLE ARE NOT ABLE TO PUT THE PAST BEHIND, I DON'T SEE NO FUTURE. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE ..... ITS FOR YOU TO DECIDE OR YAKITI YAK GOES ON

I agree with MIKED. We need to face the facts. The world is watching... We need to unite & show them that we can survive. We should stop pointing fingers.
