"ayo tappa tipyo lagyo miti pugyo, tarera tardaina tyo".

I do not actually remember when was the first time I met him. But, I remember talking wih him in the small back room where there used to be toefl practice test. There was a small table with lamp in the room where one person could study if you were there first in the morning. I guess it has changed in USEF now. The most I remember about him is his smile. He had that quality of being approachable, people would not ever feel apprehensive to go upto him and talk with him. After he became the advisor, I used to visit him regularly. After everything was set for US, I used to go to his office and say "I can not go, I do not think i will make it, being away from home to a new land, it is just not me" and he was the one who would encourage me and tell me that i could do it. He was a great dad, he loved his two sons, everytime i met him , he used to fill me in about what nishant is playing now in piano. It was only in Jan that I last met him, since i had to go somewhere else, I didnot get enough time to talk with him. He had walked me out to the gater and told me that i should stop by for longer next time. Alas! now there would not be a next time. Santosh dai, wherever you are, everyone who has known you would miss a great friend, mentor, musician and a family man.
