http://www.yomari.com/p-review/2003/04/24042003/readersforum.html What they did in 12 years Sir, Madhab Nepal also issued a stern warning to the government about not listening to demands put forward by political parties. Nepal said, "if a party like CPN-Maoist which had just seven seats in parliament could do this, imagine what the rebellion by the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML would be like which had combined seats of nearly 200 in the previous parliament. I read with interest the above remark made by Madhav Nepal at a function in Pokhara on April 3, 2003 on kantipuronline edition news. But I want to ask him what his big brother NC and himself did for the nation during the last 12 years? Was it not corruption, mal-governance and shameful fight for the chair? I think your hangover of the 200 seats should come down now. That is the past! Time has changed big brother, you have taken UML to the road of "persona-non-grata" in Nepalese society like Girija, no need to mention what you will be able to do for the nation. I am not going to discuss here what Maoist did in the past. How much they were right or how much they were wrong. But one thing is proved, killing innocents will bring nothing more than killing and it was wrong. No democracy should allow this. We must be generous enough to them so that sooner or later they realized that dialogue was the only safest way out for the nation. If your Party UML and NC is bigger parties and deserve bigger share everywhere, can you prove it by your deeds? Could you help the king and the government to rescue the nation from terror and rampant corruption? Can you contribute your share by taking part in the all party meetings called by the government? Instead you even want RN Army, the only state institution not indulging in dirty politics, to be under the Parties to move under their whims. It clearly shows that you are in a mission to completely destroy the nation. I want to ask if you do not mind where did you learn your politics? Wasn't it in Bihar? And why should people listen to you and your parties? What is your vision for the development of the nation? Is only democratic system enough? Is the "Jailpass" only qualification a political leader should have? Years back I had read in a newspaper that "How below class ten Girija. has not ever read a single book from first page to the last&will know what is written in a book of democracy and book of constitution?" This was a comment made by Bharat Sumser if I am not wrong. I feel bad to tell you, being a voter of your party in the past that you could not live up to the aspirations of the people and therefore it will not be very far that you will become the people less party of Democracy pundits along with the Giriza Congress. Despite being surrounded by the corrupt ministers and your corrupt advice, Deuba did a lot for the nation and to solve the problem. This is the fact we must agree. Please remember, you have no right to threaten people and government and people are not going to listen to you anymore nor are scared of you going to the forest to replace Maoists. They are rather worried for you, if you choose the path to forest which idealism will you be taking and what will be your slogan? Will you become Leninist gorilla or Marxists fighter, ridiculous, because Prachanda certainly will not let you use the name Maoist? The most important question is can you fight 7 years like the Maoists did while you could not wait even 7 months out of the "Kursi"? And what worries me most is definitely Prado culture will not prevail in the forest.. So please Mr. Nepal think before you speak, don't come down so much and beg so much from the Maoists and the government, nobody is sidelining you, it's all because of your mistakes you are getting sidelined by yourself. We heard that you were even offered the PM's post, which you deserved that time but you did not dare to accept, because you wanted democracy back from the King. You wanted the house to be reinstated. Nepal democracy, unlike what you have inherited in your mind, is something to be shared among the people, and not the betraying of the poor and uneducated people. We are lucky to have a democratic king democratic people but unfortunately hypocrite Parties. What would have happened to the nation if the king did not act then? People are convinced and rest assured that by the King's action has rescued democracy and the way for peace in the nation has been paved. You keep on crying like a jackdaw. but PINA will remain drying. Krishna Silwal Guangzhou |

May be you will find Girija and his unlawful wives and children trying to flee the country because people of Nepal are tired and sick of f***ing leaders. |
