According to the newspapers, the political parties have proposed the following moves from 8-12 May:

8 May at 2.20pm: Leaders of parties will gather at intersections of streets across the nation and lower their parties' flags and observe silence for 20 minutes. Vehicles on streets will be stopped 'for a while'.

It seems that, from 8 May on, all programmes attended by the PM and ministers will be boycotted. There is talk of a boycott of all government vehicles, but the extent of this is at present unclear.

9 May: black flag demonstrations across the nation.

10 May: burning of effigies across the nation.

11 May at 6.30pm: torch processions across the nation and a national blackout from
7.30pm to 8pm.

13 and 14 May: all government vehicles will be stopped and street corner meetings held across Nepal.

The organisers of the movement say that they will announce the next phase of the programme on 12 May.

Assessment: The organisers of the agitation have promised it will be 'peaceful and disciplined'. It would be wise to be cautious about vehicle movement on the afternoon of Thu 8 May, and on Tue 13 and Wed 14 May.
