Question:
Is a Green Card really matter for getting married in USA?
Story: (but Real one)
When I arrived here in USA, I had an interest to get married a Nepali Girl in USA. I used to tell my interest of getting married with a Nepali girl to my friends here in USA because there was a good chance to keep Nepali pann.
I, on the way, went through different marriage proposals with Nepali girls. For the first time, girls were nice and they seemed good and fit for me. But, all the proposals went into trash-can because I was not fit for them (what?). All of them asked me, What is my Status? I had no answer (really?). I said, "I am a student." This reply was enough to tell them that I was in a F1 visa. They did not like the visa Status, because they were also in F1 visas. But, But, But, I had a Green Card (now US passport). On the way of talking, I realized their intension of trying to use someone with out any harm and of getting advantage. Finally, I got to reject them showing my Green Card on my Web Cam, which was official bye for them.
If it happens to me again, I will have to show my US Passport (US Blue Passport) to Nepali Girls. But, I do not enjoy showing it to them, but I fill pity on them. Jesus.

Yeah! dose matter. Your answer was perfect(I'm a student). Every boys and gurls are running for greencard trying to be legal here(US). If you don,t have greencard forget it no-one cares.But you can find many gurls when you go back Nepal just you need to choose (gorgieous Nepali gurl). Anyway good luck with your love search.

I don't think it is just the greencard that matters. Noone finds a gorgeous girl just because of a green card. If a girl wanted a green card so bad she can marry an american guy and get it so easily. The way you are writing says itself that you are posing a HERO with a Green card. Beside the green card(If you have one) what else do you have? What are you without it? I don't know why Green card is such a big deal? I am sorry but it just makes a girl mad to hear that.
