TND article by Dr. Kalyan Dev Bhattarai Gives great fun to read it and its contents. He is real a joker and cunning writer. I don't know his profile. But, the way he writes things are really representative of his quality and his state of mind. At one point he says that there should be referendum every five year to decide whether we need King or not. Are we going to elect king every 5 year? If not what does it mean? He even claims that he said "daka" to the politicians in 1998, but, he praises that BRB as great leader. The total amount public's property (directly) looted under the leadership of BRB is probably much more than the amount looted by Political parties. For me both parties (maoists and political parties in the govt. are looters), but, maoists are one step ahead: they are killers too. HG |

Can someone confirm that whether the Kalyan Dev Bhattarai who wrote an article in recent TND is the same one as who was once head of RNAC: "HMG has appointed Mr. Kalyan Dev Bhattarai as GM of RNAC for two years with effect from February 2nd, 1995." |

You can understand: you should not doubt that KDB is a Maoist agent: http://www.nepalnews.com.np/contents/englishdaily/ktmpost/2001/jul/jul21/ Part of another news article: http://www.nepalnews.com.np/contents/englishdaily/ktmpost/2001/jul/jul20/ "Now we have come to know that all of what Radio Nepal was broadcasting is not true," echoed Dr Bhogendra Sharma, another member. The entire team, others including Sudip Pathak, Mukti Pradhan, Gauri Pradhan, Kalyan Dev Bhattarai and Sharva Raj Khadga plan to return to the capital by this evening. Bhattarai claimed that they held talks with "high-level Maoists" who said they were willing to free the hostages if conditions were favorable. However, reliable sources said that the rights team only met with a Maoist district secretary by the name of Sajal and not someone high ranking in the militia ranks. On the other hand, contrary to earlier reports, the Gorakh Bahadur Battalion (that was said to have been deployed to Nuwagaun as part of the army action) is still here in Dang. "The entire battalion of 600-700 personnel have been camping inside the premises of Bhagwati Prasad Company at Gorahi&They have not been deployed anywhere since the last couple of weeks," military sources said. Another stuff from KDB: Human Rights activist Kalyan Dev Bhattarai, said that the indigeneous people have been used by both the political parties in the power as well as the Maoists but none have given them due position in decision-making boards. |
