SJP, As far I know, there are only sports teams representing hometowns at the ANA Convention. And for Boston, we have a soccer team that Batsal Devkota is captaining and I am helping. I hope you and other Bostonians will be there on the field to support us. Obviously, if you or any other Bostonians need any help, we will do our best to entertain such requests. As for hosting such events; we hosted one several years back at the Brandeis University campus. I think it takes a little more than one year between the time of request and actual hosting of the event. So, this becomes a little complicated. However, your suggestion is a good one and I'll bring it up in the next GBNC meeting. Thank you for your suggestion. Bik. bik555@hotmail.com

Isn't GBNC supposed to be informing & organizing its members about this event ? why are people not informed ?? Is this just a namesake organization?? Soccer players.... is that the best you can do ??? If someone is actually running for VP, shouldn't there be an actual delegation ??? If everyone is doing their own thing then why does GBNC even exist ???

RAZU, I don't think Mr. KC is representing GBNC per say. He is a fellow Boston community member and we wish him the best of luck. That is why there is no delegation. As for informing GBNC members of the ANA Convention, there has been no such request made by ANA to GBNC as far as I know. Maybe Sachit (the prez) knows differently. Besides, the convention has gotten plenty of buzz already. Just try booking hotels around the convention area and you'll find out. Also, you seem like a spirited and inspired person. We could definitely use someone like you in the executive committee. I do mean this seriously and is not meant to be sarcastic in any way. GBNC needs active, inspired executive committee members. So, please consider volunteering some time next year. Regards, Bik.
