San ji, X-Rated picture in sajha should be removed! The picture showed up while I was advocating for the site with some respectable relatives. It was embarrassing! Let us keep sajha free of porno material. It will only enhance the good will of sajha. |

As and when these pictures are sighted we have been removing them. Sometimes it's not possible to monitor the whole site and have to rely on information from visitors like yourselves to keep the pages clean. San ji, I will send you seperate email with the links that I found. I was looking for one but found four instead. There are more but I will look for those later. I would also recommend that the people that post those material should be barred from posting any pictures, as a punishment for "polluting" sajha; where we all like to hang out. |

San ji, I would suggest that you check the uploaded pictures atleast once for the x-rated material. There are many x-rated pictures in sajha. I have a list of those and I have not checked all uploaded pics, I will let you know the ones I have. Thanks. |

San Dai, I have been checking the Upload Image everyday and there have not been any Porn picture recently. I tried to deleat all the ones from past but I might have left out one ot two by mistake, I'm really sorry. I'll go back and check again. This is to inform the concerned people that Reshma has volunteered to take care of the Image Upload section and free it from rated material. I have provided her with access to delete pictures as she seems fit. Any information regarding rated pictures will be forwarded to her so that she can take care of those pics. Reshma, Thank you for taking the initiative to remove those offensive pics. Some-one should regularly monitor those uploaded pictures. Monitoring the uploaded pictures by date will be easier, moving forward. If no one is currently monitoring those, I am willing to volunteer. |

Reshma I would suggest to keep an eye on the pic download section. I noticed that many of the x-rated pics are removed but some are still there. Hopefully they will be removed as well. If sajha is a community portal then same rules should apply to sajha as the rules are applied to a community part. The community parks are kept free of all offensive materials, violation is considered a crime. Freedom of expression and freedom of speech cannot be applied in the form of offensive material. There must be clear guidelines on what is considered an offensive material and what is not. M Gandhi once said "If you can share the material with your mother than it is not an offensive material" I would suggest that the same analogy be applied in sajha to keep it free of offensive material. On the other hand if sajha sees itself as a portal for teenagers and "chippae ko bokas" I have nothing to say. Sorry to keep bugging you... |

San jyu, I appreciate the effort your effort keep sajha free of all porno, x-rated and offensive material on the other hand why some pics are removed and others are not is beyond my imagination. In an effort to make Sajha a healthy environment I had sent the details of the offensive images. Even after you have the details, why do those images still exist? The presence of those images goes against the disclaimer ".. although we do try to keep it clean, ..", what is the definition of "clean"? Is a nude woman showing her private body part considered clean? Is a sexual intercourse in the form of animated mouse considered clean? The list goes on and on; and you have the list. I understand some of the images being posted without the knowledge of the admin, which is acceptable for certain time or until admin knows about it. But if the admin leaves those images for an indefinite time and does nothing even after repeated emails is it fair to claim that an effort is made to keep it clean? |

There is a world full of businesses where sexuality and nudity is exploited, if Sajha decides to be one of those, it will be unfortunate and I will not have to convince myself to ignore my favorite site. |

San, It appears that you have removed the picture that I was MOST concerned about. Thank you. I respect your decision to run sajha by the poll. In my opinion if I can watch the image with my little brother or with my little sister it is not offensive. If the same picture can be shared with mom or dad than it is not offensive. There need to be a "standard" on what is considered to be a "acceptable" picture. How about similar policies like companies/businesses follow across the nation? Regards, Tick |

Hello San, After looking at the poll it is clear that pollers ARE offended by the nature of pics. I have not checked yet but I hope that you have alredy removed those offensive pics. Based on the poll any picture that shows private parts are offensive, any picture that is a toy of the private body parts is offensive even judging by this standard won't nude picture be considered as such? I see some nude new pics in Sajha. It seems you like to get a poll on what needs to be removed and what needs to be kept. Here you are. Here are 2 nude pics, one is a child I find it unacceptable in which child is being exploited. I don't see why San has to try to please eveyone. He needs to have a policy and stick with it. Those pictures that tick wants remove were too prude. They were in no way exploitive. There will always be some prudes in the society and they need to accept the fact that they are prudes and live with it. Don't spoil it for everyone else. |

I think it would have been better if we had a different section for what is considered offensive than deleting the stuffs.. and I totally agree with bitch.. if we start filtering everything related to sex saying it's offensive then we might as well start filtering stuffs relating to religion, culture, caste, politics... they can be very offensive too... more offensive than nudity. Nickname, You are right to a degree, not using the right words, not knowing how to communicate can or will be offensive. As a civilized people we do try not to offend others (at least some of us in Sajha) and communicate in a manner that the point gets accross. Don't we? What would happen if all of the sajhities leave their decency at home and do "je pyo tyai". There will be no one coming to visit Sajha. On the same token nudity is not a accepted form of communication. Is it? Nudity cannot be compared with the rest of the social and philosophical topics. People will not be offended if they see Bush/Saddam/GPK/Makune ridiculed, they might not like it if they favor the party of the person but it is usually a humor. No one will be offended if people of different faiths argue about their beliefs, unless the discussion goes astray, becomes personal then people get offended. As a civilized people, we try not to be offensive to others don't we? (at least some of us do) Social values should be respected for a society to survive. No social values means no society. If you look at the most free and developed countries, they all have freedom but they all have rules that every one abides by it. If people do not follow the rules, there is law enforcement. For example, Nudity is allowed in America but ONLY in nude clubs. If you are one of those that do not mind visiting a nudist club with all of your immediate family than I respect your opinion, if not please think twice on what you have said. How can politics, religion, culture be the same a naked picture? Nude pictures do have an artistic value that is a different issue, when a nude picture is used for entertainment, it becomes sexual. I do not believe that is the intent is Sajha, if this was the case I would not be here. If you do not get offended by the nude pictures and do not mind sharing it with all of your family then all I have to say is wow you are out of this world!! On a personal note I do get offended when my little brother or sister see those pictures that are in sajha. I do not want them to stop using sajha as I believe Sajha provides a great value to nepali-american society and has a bright future ONLY if decency is maintained. Let us all try to make Sajha as clean as possible and not offend others by making ruthless remarks, belittling others and posting nude and sexual pictures.
