Quoted from Khalil Gibran's BROKEN WING.... any comment.. Marriage in these days is a mockery whose management is in the hands of young men and parents. In most countries the young men win while the parents lose. The woman is looked upon as a commodity, purchased and delivered from one house to another. In time her beauty fades and she becomes like an old piece of furniture left in a dark corner. Modern civilization has made woman a little wiser, but it has increased her suffering because of man's convetousness. The woman of yesterday was a happy wife, but the woman of today is a miserable mistress. In the past she walked blindly in the light, but now she walks open-eyed in the dark. She was beautiful in her ignorance, virtuous in her simplicity, and strong in her weakness. Today she has become ugly in her ingenuity, superficial and heartless in her knowledge. Will the day ever come when beauty and knowledge, ingenuity and virtue, and weakness of body and strength of spirit will be united in a woman?

The day has come and gone but you women are too busy gossiping, fighting for attention from your man, spending time painting yourself before realizing that you are in a shit-hole. Make something out of your life so that we men would have some respect for you. Don't just get a degree for your parent's sake. You women will be treated like of piece of furniture until you stop yourself be like a furniture, sit on the corner and do nothing except be beautiful.

"Will the day ever come when beauty and knowledge, ingenuity and virtue, and weakness of body and strength of spirit will be united in a woman?" Sure, why not? Personally I think it has already come in the past and is continuing to come and hopefully will continue to come in the near future also. Look at late mother Teresa, Sushmita Sen or for that matter any other women in any corner of the world. All of them portray beauty and knowledge, ingenuity and virtue, weakness and strength of spirit. They say women's heart is an ocean of secrets...you just need to dig further deep to find the gem in them. No matter what walks of life and what part of the world they come from, personally I believe all women have a unity of all these virtues/qualities in them. Different people, different perspectives. When I look at a women, I see a strength to be strong among her weaknesses, virtue to be true and genuine in her ingenuineness and beauty and knowledge to be beautifuL in her ugliness and ignorance! p.s."now she walks open-eyed in the dark" i loved this sentence. Goredai, "You women will be treated like of piece of furniture until you stop yourself be like a furniture, sit on the corner and do nothing except be beautiful." Hm...interesting. Liked what you had to say. Wish more people were honest like yourself!

goredai, u have only one thing going for u, and thats the fact that u're consistent. Every one of your writings that I have read consistently reeks of derogatory remarks towards women. I dont claim to be a champion of women's issues, but I do wonder where all that hatred is coming from. Maybe u've been wronged by a woman in the past, or maybe u've never been laid in your life ( i dont claim to be politically correct either) - whatever the case may be, i think its time to cash all your chips and start over with a clean slate and maybe, just maybe, try and understand women better. And oh, please let us know when u do get laid!

Okay I admit that I've never been laid. I don't see anything to do my sexuality to my anti-women comments. I do have lot of women friends and I get disgusted the way they complain about life. You can take my comments as anti-women for those who can read and not think and pro-women for those who can read and think about it. Women always complain about how men don't listen. Its because the hypocricsy hidden under women barrs us from listening to women. I'll give perfect example: Hillary Clinton, big women right activist in Clinton era, goes to Europe to tell how women are important in men's life and to show that she urged every women not to do house work once a year. She comes back home to find her husband's penis was in Monica's mouth and still decides to live with him. It made me throw up. Do you see how women tend to contradict their words. Thats why we men don't listen to you guys. G I and lonely..... Thank you for understanding what I had to say. Muuuuuuuuuuuuuwa to you guys(if both of you are women).

goredai, if u wanted your previous posting to be construed as encouragement for all the women out there to empower themselves by breaking the barriers of self-pity, the shallowness of capricious gossip, and the obsession with artificial beauty, your choice of words leaves a lot to be wanted. Your tone in this and your postings from the past smack of the typical condescencion and the you-have-to-prove-yourself-to-us-because-we're-so-much-better-than-u attitude that so many of us men seem to be afflicted with, particularly those who have had very limited experience with and exposure to women. And i mean that without the obvious sexual connotation. If you do wish to preach the virtues of self-empowerment to women, please do so without your flamingly obvious bias. And please keep in mind that most of what u said about women applies equally well to a lot of men!

I of course agree with Goredai. To digress a bit, my wife needs to --cook for me --change my diaper for me --do the laundry for me --have sex with me, whenever I am in the mood. --go grocery shopping for me --bathe me --trim my nails And, in return for her duties, she gets total access to my bank account.
