He waz a grt soul,a leading educationist.I still remember his lean figure standing infront of the main entrance shaking hands with every single students, and that too every single day.By the time the bell for the skool rang,he would have a whole bunch of flowers on his hand given out of love and respect by his students.
His palms were real hard for his age.He has slapped me a couple of times, and that too when he was 80,buda khatra thiyo.I have been slapped twice when i went to shake hands with him .Once my shirt was outside my pant and the next time he smelled ciggarate on my breathe.Ani diyo buda le sabai ko agadi...jhyaama..and u know wat i did..a juvenile i was..sweared at him the "m" word,he waz like come back..u will be punished...i didn't ...i just went straight to class and the thing was finished.Due to the age factor buda used to forget soon.Have a lotta memories abt him, buda ko garden ma bhogate chorna gako, buda lai jiskayera bhageko, buda lai malai kutne bela ma thakera ta bachis mu#i bhaneko, buda ko pigeon lai guleli haneko...dherai cha memory hary.
I loved buda and he loved s all a lot.He lived his life fully, respectful and meaningful..so there is nothin to mourn about.A happy contented life.A life well lived .Sir,rest in peace...u will be missed a lot.
uh_oh Posted on 25-May-03 03:10 PM

oh my god.....he was one of my favorite persons. it's really sad to hear that he's not with us anymore, the man who always encouraged us to "be good n do good." hehe....he always had one little advice to give u everytime u meet him. i surely loved his speeches and poems and songs. i have never seen such an old man with so much strength. having spent all my childhood there, i never saw that man angry....he was such a cooooool person.
Devil's Advocate,
HOW DARE U CALL HIM BUDA??? and i've never seen him slapping anyone...he wud never do that.
Prem Charo, mind you own business!!!

anyway, SNB will remain in our heart as an inspiring person forever...YOu're the GREATT, we'll miss you....

It's real sad to know that he passed away... quite shocking actually!! Used to say in jest when we were in the 1st grade that we'll be getting a day off 'cause he was going to pass away soon, cause he already was old then too. Later on as we grew older his immense presence and zeal were something we took for granted and everyone stopped even joking about him retiring and not being the Principal...let alone his passing away. He remained as active and as healthy till I passed out from the school. I don't know about uh_oh, but I've seen him slap and use the stick on quite a lot of boys ..and girls too. Hell!!! lot pf my friends were trashed.. even I was trashed, but that didn't stop me from giving him the respect he deserved and neither did any of my friends stop respecting him. He was feared. He was always admired. He always will be.
He was a great man. I don't believe we'll see a man like him anytime soon. He's left behind a void that'll not easily be filled.
May his soul rest in peace.

He sure was a good person, The AVM during his tender Year and the AVM after that period is quit a different, But still he is the man behind all the ups and down of AVM, he did have place in the history of nepali education development.

Last but not Least, he used to like Kaju,a lot.

May his soul rest in Peace
SNB Posted on 26-May-03 07:15 AM

He likes kajus!!

I heard this for the first time.

Sadabichar Posted on 26-May-03 10:15 PM

He was naughty too.... married for twice on records... off record - unkown.

Sadabichar Posted on 26-May-03 10:22 PM

Who liked the maroon shirt and white pants as the uniform for the guys introduced in somewhere around 2037/38 BS?

I could not remember well, but those days even the schools including AVM forced the parents to buy the clothes from the schools. A copycat move imported from Indian Schools for rich people.
Sadabichar Posted on 26-May-03 10:25 PM

Not only that, most of the times the students (kids that they were) always had fear whenever they encountered SNBS Sir. He presented himself funny as well, but I am dead sure most of the time his mood was totally unpredictable, that caused great stress among the kids.
satyakura Posted on 28-May-03 12:40 PM

He is definitely a great soul! He served our nepalese society by establishing three great boarding schools after kicking damn dirty politics as his career. I respect him for this.

But I don't like a strict teacher who creates fear in students. That's absolutely against children's psychology which I "satyakura" say....without fear.
