It is been a while I gave up watching television. I just could not resist these fake shows, which they call the reality show. They have tried eating everything else including horse's rectum and monkey's eye. My friend found it weird but I argued with him.." Hami ka pani ta katto khwauaney chalan cha ni". I made him recall a dude riding that elephant after having katto. Tyo bhanda khatara reality show ke huna sakcha? No wonder he got more than million. One after another, medias are busy making Bramhachari shows. Lato lay sale pakayo seylai sale. Bicharaharu ke garoon?..They must have tried everything else and these directors are turning it into real life scenario. Huna pani ho, nothing has been working out for them. Lasta ayera, they are trying to follow our unique style of marriage. I am proud to say to my next door neighbor "Dekhies ta love garna naskaney haruko lagi ho bhanya haina hamro arrange marriage lai, hepya thies ni malai pore?" Nothing is compatible now. Everything I have is somewhat incompatible to this new technology. I could not read lot of threads in Sajha either. I am tired of this so-called techie world. I have found your writings to contain kernels of wisdom and an abundance of humour. Such as the very droll observation that 'chocolate has artificial lemon and dishwashing liquid has real lemon.'
The old timer's consoling his wife that they can now view the stars at bed time struck me in particular. Like him, I expect we all make our compromises to be here and then put on a brave face about it. Indeed, the spirit oft turns weary with the struggles of life.
In your writings I find many parallels with another writer I admire: Mark Twain.

Jira Ji, All in the name of entertainment. Funny you should mention rectum eating. I happen to watch that particular episode, Praise be Allah!! the finalist were just unbelivable. Looked like models straight from victoria's secret, stick thin and pretty face. Amount of boiled horses rectum they ate... defies belief. Would make your average hante's green with envy.
Wonder if you have ever seen "Eurotrash"? It's not just another reality TV show. It's more like docu-entertainment. E.g a man farting to the tune of "Smoke on the water", Extreem Ironing where participants iron clothes at extreem condition like skydiving, Whitewater Ironing, Bungeejumping ironing PLUS plenty of T&A.
It's a weird world out there.
