Lolz you guys r funny! I saw the column, but everything looked alien to me, coz I donot have nepali font downloaded. Go to cloumns, you'll find it there. But if you don't have nepali font downloaded on ur computer, don't even bother to go there. Kasto padhne iccha thiyo 'kiran.' Padheko-padheai bho! |

If you need Nepali font, you can get it from here: - http://www.nepalipost.com/ It looks like the poem is in Preeti font. Here is the link to the column if you have not found it yet: - http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/column.cfm?extraid=494 if you still do not see the Nepali text, i suggest you to do following: Right click on the mouse->select Encoding>select User Defined Hope this works and you are able to enjoy the poem. Can anyone tell what "Chhanda" it is written on? |

DCmetro admin and Homnath, I read this powem twice.. To be perfectly honest, I could understand some of it. Then I read it aloud and believe me, I got the most out of this powen, if not all. Its very rhythmic like the poems/verses in Sanskrit and the style and the word usage reminded me of poems by KabiShiromani Lekhnath Poudel. Thanks for sharing the poem with us. Hope to read some more of your poems. namaste |

Chhandabadha kabita bhane pachhi ta manai hurukka hune. However, only Chhanda that I remember is ShardulBikridit. I am not sure whether I can read Sragdhara Chanda correctly or not. But, as IF suggested, I am printing it and reading it loudly...! Je ta paros! I am reading YO SAMAJ mahakabya (published in nepalipost.com) from the same poet. Hope, I can get most of it! Thanks for sharing the poems!! |

It's indeed a beautiful poem!! Thanks for posting it. *Chhandabadha kabita* reminds me of Dahal YagyaNidhi. I am a big fan of his. It's been 8 years since I last heard him but his style of *Kabita Bachan* is always in my ear. Noname, I will really appreciate if you can post a link to YO SAMAJ mahakabya. TIA!! |
