Hi!

Your Sajha.com's screen name is very close to mine if translated in Nepali. Welcome to Sajha.com. Its very rare to find peoples with this given name, well, its a famous place
in KTM. Well, last april when I was trying to board in, the security staff ceased (JAFT) my camera batteries for the duration of flight (note: now you are not allowed to carry battery in your hand bag). In another desk, a lady was wrapping the battery in another pack and asked me my name: I told G..... Then, she replied: I am not asking your address ..... Well, I added, don't worry madam, My name is G... and I live in Baneswor.... She said Oh! I see.

So, I am reallly happy to find a fellow with same name... Well, there is a young boy in my village who is also Pokharel, was named exactly mine, the parents wanted their kid to follow my foot path re kya......... At least in the world there are some peoples who wanted to follow my path, even with my name. ............. I am willing to see someone who was named the same name as mine, but, independently, so that the name's use will be widened.

Let me inform Sajhaities that GP's G... and the name of the place has some variations:

Gyaneshwar : Lion Club's naming of the places have this sign board.
Gyaneshwor: Kathmandu Post usually have this name.
Gyaneswar: Some peoples write that way.

In my real name writing, I don't "h" in between "s" and "w", the "h" is extracted out from "shwor", and it becomes "swor".

So, variation in name spelling is really interesting and it allows us to have more freedoms.
It is really disappointing that we don't have authority that tells us how to romanize the Nepali names. Its specially dangerous when we want to write in School and university certificates. In my certificates, I can find all variations, including the "shor" to mean "Swor", not only that it also has "sher"....

So, you are pokharel, GP ji? My mother's maiden name is Pokharel. Pokharels are, usually speaking, tall and very good looking. All maternal cousins of mine(guys) are 6'+ tall. Now my dad's side of the family are mostly a bunch of midgets. Thank god I didn't inherit anything from my dad's side except for the last name.

Bhedo Dai,
Did they clone you from your mom?

Bhedo ji,

You as a person with good in writing skills, I am scared to touch your name and postings.
I am so much dumb that I could not understand whether your posting is appreciation or a satire on "Pokharel". If its really positively meant, I have to erase the records of all your past postings in my dumb memory and overwrite them with this single one.

The sentence you once wrote strikes my head very badly "....he's a jackass. He should get the hell outta here.", that still scares me as a reader to take your posting as a positive appreciation, but, not a satirical one. I will wait some moment and keep this posting in probation to take it positively.

GP,

I certainly hope this doesn't come as too much of a dissapointment to you but my given name is not Gyaneshwor.
Paragraph on spelling variations was mildly interesting. Certin I'll see more of you here.

Take care and congrats on a unique name.
