i was watching "amar akbar anthony" today on (of all places) turner classic movies. and i am now quite convinced that this american 'wrestling' has its roots in these old hindi movies. consider an average wwf match.. people flying around, doing all kinds of kicks, flips, throwdowns. people jumping down from heights and landing on other people. wait.. but that's exactly what happens in hindi movies. actually, those hindi movies went one step further. they would have people making tremendous vertical leaps, something the wwf never quite managed.
