Indian press lately has been too audacious to suggest that Nepal is too poor. One article I read today in The Times Of Indian has used "Poverty stricken" "Cash strapped" like attributes several times before writing Nepal. And that too, while writing about our performance.Apparently, they forgot that some poverty stricken countries like Ethiopia, Cuba and Mozambique, and to some extent China also, put up spectacular performance, while cashrich Singapore/Hongkong were empty handed. Specially since the advent of IT boom, Indians has really forgotten their "haisiyat" and started speaking "anapsanap".The BBC which put some offending question in website is also mostly run by Indians(I mean southasia section.), and thought I think the British as racists who are really unfair to our fighters in their army, they would still have some politeness to ask such a ludicrous question. We all feel that we have been unfairly treated by Indian colonialists. They eye upon our resources, their prehensile tentacles have constricted our business prospects, and still we have always played fairly. The fact that our neighboring states of India are either worse or of same level to our standard is generally forgotten by Indians. Some years ago, I was invited to a party of Indian consular in Shanghai by a diplomat friend of mine in the consul. They had got a new consul general. After being little bit tipsy, he was heard telling a Chinese guest, "There is no independent country called Nepal. They don't have airport, they don't have their own money, they don't have even their own army..." The consul general, Mr Biren Nanda, still serves there. Interestingly, since it is always cheap for them to travel to Shanghai via RNAC operated Shanghai-KTM flight, he probably travels this route.(Unless he can scrounge a better flight ticket from his country.) A fire of disgruntlement flares in my mind when I find Girija/or Bhattarai or anybody proudly claiming they are Bharatmukhi or in whatever they couch their word. We need some Nepalmukhi politicians in KTM, we need some patriotic leaders who can stand up to any person right there in South, and tweak their nose whenever they try to mess up with us. We need to create frontiers of every domain, sports/intellect/debates/poetry/health/roads/ whatever, and try to checkmate them as an independent country.Just see their audacity, they won a simple bronze in Olympic, and they brag to us as if they won thirty golds.
