I ran in the rain because I could not wait around for the sun to shine; could not wait for my tears to cease 'cause I found out my best friend may have cancer; 'cause my other friend's young teenager got raped at teen party, 'cause a four old child's (my student's father is in jail)! So, I ran hard in the rain.... ...so I could enjoy the raindrops on my hair and my face, feel cleansed, rejuvenated and yet spent of pent up emotions...instead of watching the weather news and wait for fair weather! So I ran, splashing into big puddles, jumping over smaller ones, shivering in the downpour, yet, thriving in the invigorating downpour of ceaseless rain. And in the raindrops, I recollected the good things in my life, the wonderful qualities of my friends, known and unkown; the little boy I am fortunate to have as my student 'cause everytime I dry his tears, I know he is learning compassion; the teenage, I pray for, grateful those who escape such horrors! And from each puddle, I splash, I collect droplets of humour...that make me smile everytime the dirt splashes on my jeans; scan the dreary sky that urges me to enjoy ALL; enjoy the NOW without brooding on what could be. And from the weather, I experienced the Butterfly Effect which exists 'cause everytime I make a splash, there are those who magnify the results to gigantic proportions which carry on the same positive message of a better world, if not a perfect one! Thanks San and to all those who believe that decency does exist, should exist and if it does not, we all have a responsibility to make it so!

Dear Sitara di, It is nice to see your inspiring writing & influencing persona back @ Sajha again. I was replying to lekhak's grreat piece "blue sky." As soon as I was done, I was directed to sajha's homepage. And the first thing I saw was "I Ran In The Rain!....SITARA." I was like whoa!! Just wanted to stop by and say Hey! welcome back :-) even before reading ur piece, but thought, nah! it will be better if I hit two birds at the same time! So here I am, ur goofer sis GurL_Interrupted! You have a nice piece there sis. I liked what you had to say! I need one of those running in the rain myself these days! Hopefully, it will rain one of these days so that I can wash MY sad Life! and join you in saying "[yes] I Ran In The Rain!," and be able to realize "... everytime I dry [someone's] tears, I know he is learning compassion;"! Glad to see you and your "never giver up!" attitude sis! :-)! Welcome back again! :-)!

YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gracious, the rain washed away my Grammar, typing skills and my lucid thoughts! :( I had not bothered to re-read my prose because I had squeezed it into my schedule.... as for the Word spellcheck, I hate the vacant boxes more than my mistakes! :) Anyways, I had such a pleasant surprise when San sent me the links to the *Learning Process* thread! I can only simply say "Thanks Friends!" to all of you and OTHERS, (You know who you all are!) My positive energy to you! :)

Sitara, Welcome back! Like curry without salt, we were already feeling Kurakani kinna of 'khallo' in Sitara's absence. Sajhites made gates of rainbows hoping that Sitara would twinkle in Sajhapuri Nagari again. Our whole hearted thanks also goes to San dai for his support to keep away any bugs, and let people make healthy exchange of ideas/information here. This is how we make this community vibrant. Bhunte

When you ran in the rain, I saw the hails powering down from the sky, hitting you everywhere it can. But with the warmth got evaporated into air. I saw the lightening, trying to conduct you like a mere note of music, but was 'grounded' because of the 'down-to-earth' reception. You ran in the rain, we enjoyed the dance. We said, 'She will come back.' And here you are. Remember, we're always there.

Rains will often come and go And sometimes leave us blessed. Other times they seem to leave A person quite distressed. But God who sends the rain on all; The just and unjust too, Reminding us He loves us. And that His love is true. When we see the darkness; We think upon His word. He clothed the lovely lily And feeds the little bird. Our focus shifts to Who He is; For He gives only good. Then we see the "rain" in light Of what He said we should. The rain that floods the rivers, Brings the soil relief, The sun that parched the arrid land Brings smoggy land no grief. Each one has a purpose To bring about his plan; Although we may not see it yet or even understand. Submitting to His perfect will And walking through the pain Will set our hearts to singing And dancing through the rain. And though you cannot see it now If you'll just look to Him. The way will never seem so long; His light will never dim.

Hey Sitara, Welcome! After all it is not given that the Good will prevail. There will be many wolves in sheep's skin and we just gotta fight, fight, fight these "sheeps" , and come out unscathed and stronger. Robert Frost, nice poem. Do you really believe in "Him" that much??

Just got this brief break from the work, so this quick posting. I am glad to see warm welcome accorded to Sitara. However, I myself did not find it necessary to do. Honestly, knowing her guts, philosophy and and all that happened, I did not think even for a moment that Sitara is quiting or taking leave from Sajha. Thanks for sharing the piece. It is inspiring. It will certainly disapopint those who might have waited to see a bitter Sitara. Yap. NK wrote: >Robert Frost, nice poem. Do you really believe in "Him" that much?? I was also wondering the same. As for myself, it has been long I have stopped bothering about whether to believe in Him or not. I am content with my commitment that He, if ever is, can sure trust me. OK, back to my work.

NK: We cannot "uproot" evil... it will cause a disbalance in the scheme of polarities. BUT it should be discouraged... hoina ta? :) Nepe ji: Such unwavering support and encouragement... :) As for the belief in the higher powers that be: I do believe in the power of the universe, the power of words and the power within each one of us!

I was just rhymin with proof:) I don't know why they are welcoming you, But to go with flow, WELCOME SITARA JI... WELCOME:) Bob, Where have you vanished? Nice poem tho...:)
