Apart from BRB's cruelty, the other irony here is Tirtha barta daan dharma for a Maoist leader revolutionary!! After burning down dozens of temples and prohibiting the observance of Hindu festivals for the common people, where does the great leader go to absolve his sins with his mother? To the Gorakhnath temple!! Why do the Maosts bajes consistently observe double standards: they cooly destroy the educational institutions for being capitalists and then go on to send their children to the best schools in England and India. They prevent religion for other people, but then go on a char dham with their old parents...this guy must be trying to be the modern version of Sraban Kumar. What is that Hindi saying...sau chuha kha ke billi Haj ko challi!! Afte making thousands and thousands of Nepalis fatherless, motherless, childless, brother and sisterless, the great revolutionary hero turns to religion...May Guru Gorakhnath give this pol pot what he deserves!!

During our kidhood, there used to be a talk like that kamunists would kill their parents, defy any religions, and demolish temples. May be BRB trying to disprove that....

Since a long time, we have been cursing GPK, MaKuNe, GBBS and other leaders in Nepal. At the same time, the media hype of the maoists have made them national heros. Once most wanted by HMG of Nepal are now set free without undergoing any punishments. They talk about the peacetalks, constitutional ammendments and changes in the government. Do they have any set outlines - the answer is no. First they wanted Republic, now they changed that demand, then they demanded constitutional ammendment, they changed that as well. What do these Maoists actually want..?? Baburam Bhattarai, Krishna Prasad Mahara, Badal and their comrades enjoy much higher profile in the Nepali society today despite their acts that took Nepal fifty years behind in terms of development. If they were really concerned about developing Nepal, why would they destroy the ground pillars of Nepal, kill innocent people, force innocent girls to join brothel houses in cities, force young boys to leave their country in search of peace. The old sanskrit phrase "Janani Janmabhumi Swargadapi Gariyasi" is no longer valid when it comes to our country Nepal. The Swarga has been Narka. Though we are in USA with best of the technologies available to human kind, we still have a fear about our folks back in Nepal. This is what the Maoists have done to us. Just by taking his parents to pilgrimage to Manakamana and other temples, what does BRB want to prove..?? He is really worried about his nation..??

GI, if i may, i think the accusation is "implicit"one. 1. an article in one of the nepalese newspaper it mentioned that there are lot of young girls forced to work in cabin restaurants, etc. etc. were from regions heavily afflicted with maoist insurgency. maoist were recruiting for their "people liberation movement" so these girls left home and ended up in Kathmandu, where to support themselves they are forced to various flesh-trading businesses. 2. there has been reports that girls who were recruited in the name of "people's war" were abused [sexually] in the training camps. and forced into fulfiling the need of leaders there is also a third which suggets that girls were traded for "so many" reasons. without a fire there is no smoke. but we have this tendency to make "til lai pahad" so who knows what is true at what extent; if we read nepalese media.

Guys the other side of the story may be an act to be a good son. Atleast, may be that was the last thing the aging mother must have asked from him, before she died. (Mero Bhakal cha, time ayepache ek palta Manakamana mai ko Darshan garera matra yo pran jayos bhanne). There must have been no and nays, but finally in return for the life (that was used for nations cause, however we interprete it), he was bound to give something back to his mother. Well, all the destruction was part of his professional and idieological job, but this act of piousness was for personal affair. What is more alarming is the fact that like with the other political leaders, there is a rush to strengthen and verify family relationship of major maoist relationship. "Ma ta Prachanda ko mama ko fupu ko nati ko sale to sakhai chora hum, hazur ba haru ko party satta ma aye pache ta hamro pane kehi uddhar hune theyo". Discussions like these are very common in different parts of the country, except for the difference in relation and the person involved. I guess this nation strangling attraction of Nepali populace to anyone who is in power for selfish has to be wiped once and for ever if we are to prosper. Otherwise I am also waiting for someone where I can trace my distant relationship to claim favor to come in power. I guess we can use the relationship of being member of same Sajha forum to seek favor in case some of you here find your way to the Singha Durbar.

kale krishna is correct, BRB is there just to fulfil his mothers wish. and of course, he must do it regardless of his ideology,,,,, sign of good son. kale krishna, But i guess looking for relation with thula badha will not go down. and u too can benefit. if maos come to singha darbar, u can explore tremendous opportunities to get grip of them,, some to quote,, ma pani prachanda dai ko jilla ma dherai sal baseko,, uha kai chimeki gau ma baseko,,, or to be more specific, prachandai dai ta mero college ko senior ho nii, hamrro kastoo ramro samparka thiyoo etc etc. but thats only when u get back to homeland.
