computer, Here is what I know [ which is v ery limited but you should consult BCIS website it does have information about EB1] this is certainly the way but is via NIW i.e. very complicated. now if you have received award equivalent to NOBEL Prize then sure you donot need a lawyer but beside that you would need a lawyer. you have to be a Professor or Researcher in the field. there are some restriction regarding this. for the professor, you need to be in that tenure track position for at least 2-3 years. or total 3 years of experience. PhD is not a requirement but with out it, its difficult to prove your point as well. you need to have decent number of publications etc. if you are filing via researcher then there should be at least 5 other people employed in the same field by your employer meaning that you should not be the only one working on that. try murthy.com or there is a lawyer in Minneapolis, Minnesota Myers Thompson.
