Ever read a business document that left you scratching your head in wonder at the level of obfuscation ? Relief may be at hand !

New York-based Deloitte Consulting admits it helped foster confusing, indecipherable words like "synergy," "paradigm," and "extensible repository," but now it has decided enough is enough. On Tuesday, the company released "Bullfighter" to help writers of business documents to avoid jargon and use clear language.

From the CNN site:
""it got progressively more obscure as they got deeper and deeper into trouble. "
Very true in business.
But what about jargon in politics? Like PUNARUTHHAN BADI, SANSODHANBADI, PRATIGAMI, AGRAGAMI, SAMANTI, SAMRAJYABADI aadi ityadi. I think, we need to design a POLLFIGHTER to test obscurity of politicians in Nepal.

Earlier this year, I ran into a tool created by Deloitte and Touche that sought to address the excessive and meaningless verbiage of writers of business documents. D & T created a tool, the Bullfighter (www.dc.com/bullfighter), to strip out bull droppings littering business documents. I felt drawn to running the test on Rendro's writings in this thread. The results were impressive.

"Diagnosis: You like to hear yourself write. Despairing of the thought of bringing a sentence to a close with something as demeaningly ordinary as a simple period, you shower readers with gratuitous, interminable and often weighty if not impossibly labyrinthine prose. Meaning lingers, albeit awash in a thick tide of metaphor and exposition that threatens to drown the writer's message. Seek help."

On the BS index, the two documents scored an impressive 85%. Rendro has emphatically proven, beyond any reasonable doubt, that the Aussie MBA is a worldclass bullshitter. Congratulations !
