Dear Sirs/Madame, First of all I would like to congratulate RMFN as well as Nepali community in Denver for hosting this years annual ANA convention. Its a grand task and I hope this year will be as successful as in the past. But this letter is about my genuine concerns about the some of organizers final decisions. 1st. Registration. As mentioned in your website $30 for family (I think this is great) $20 for individuals. But I did not see a group registration for the sports teams. I personally think its unfair for teams coming to Denver as far away from Boston, NY or DC/Baltimore and still pay an individual registration rate. You might say its only $20 bucks and what the hell and that I am a cheap bastard but thats not the case, if you look deep you will see where I am coming from. For example lets say a city in east coast is bringing soccer and basketball team to Denver. Here are the cost associated with it. Since we wanted to maintain the quality of our uniforms like in past, we got some nice soccer jerseys with name and number for $40 per person. Most of the guys will be playing both soccer as well as basket ball so most of us have to buy basketball jerseys for $30 each. I already have the snickers so dont have to worry about them but I have to buy the soccer boots since I have the same one from three years ago, cost $59.99. So far I have already spent about $130 and I havent even got off the ground yet. Add to this the airfare, hotel, food, registration, cultural show, banquet and so on, and it all adds up. As for me I have no problem with this and I can afford it as well as take one or two weeks off work but when I see at my team mates they dont have the same luxury as some of you or I do. As you are aware that most of the sports players are individuals either going to colleges and working hard in the summer months to pay their fall tuitions and most of them cant afford to take a week off like you and me. But its important for these guys to attend these kinds of events and see and meet other Nepali folks and friends. You might say that there was always registration fee of 20 bucks in every ANA. I think you might be right in that but as far as I remember there was only $10 last year for the players in DC convention. One other thing is that in the last 7 or 8 years most of ANA conventions were held in east coast and it was just a driving distance so we saved a lot in transportation and most of the players didnt have to worry about registration and other costs because of cheap transportation to these conventions, thats not the case this year. I think a team registration of $100 for the soccer team and $50 for basketball would have been great. 2nd Banquet. Quoting from your website It is not mandatory for the winners of soccer, basketball and volleyball to attend the banquet, although they are encouraged to do so. If they choose not to attend the banquet then they will be called in during the award ceremony at a specific time to receive their awards. I think instead of this you could just arrange special price for the winners so they could at least feel like winners among the elite who are gathered for banquet. Lets say half price for the winners for the banquet; this would be the real encouragement instead of just words. 3rd Scheduling of sporting events. We thought the convention was starting on the 3rd of July and most of us booked the plane ticket to Denver arriving on the 2nd night as well as hotel room, now its a bummer to find out that we have to wait till 4th and play two games on the 5th of July if you are the winner on the 4th. Finally, I dont want to tell you how to do you jobs but as a concerned Nepali who is attending this years convention, I had written this open letter hoping that it might help making your decision easier. I know its not an easy job what you are doing but let this be an example for all the future ANA organizers to consider everything in their power to accommodate the fellow convention goers and you guys have the great chance to set an example and its not too late to change your fees this year. Thank you, Persona non grata

Persona non grata, Agree with you.... Sports event on 10 AM in the morning ???? That sucks. Semifinal and final on Same day...???? That even more sucks. Last year for player and performer(Culture Programe) It was only $10...Don't understand why this year is $20 ??? Yeah, it's not too late to change for better (Registration fees and sports events schedule)...

Jhismisebihani it might sound to you like whining but if you are taking a team as far away as Denver and some of your teammates have to pay as much as $450 for plane tickets because they cant get time off work and had to be back by certain date or risk losing their jobs. All we are trying to do is get some savings on few things and help our team mates with the airlines fare so they can attend the convention as well. See you in Denver and enjoy. PNG

Keep in mind not all members of other teams can afford to take two days off from work to make it to Denver. Since students and laid off workers can't afford the pricey airline tickets they are planning to drive all the way to Denver so that they could enjoy and participate in sports as well as cut the cost down. Thanks to org-com. for scheduling matches on the 4th and the 5th. As for the expenses regarding jerseys, soccer boots, etc, that's the part of the game. Once a team decides to participate in the tournament, they should see it coming. If a team wants to keep the cost down, they can use the last year's jerseys. As far as I remember all teams had one last year and some teams didn't have to pay a penny, thanks to the sponsors. There is your saving of $40. Your BB team can also use last year's jerseys. $30 saved. As for the sneakers and soccer boots, that's your personal expense. If you play soccer and BB, be it recreational or competitive, it's your expense. Like any of your other hobby related expense. One can't cry foul for it. I agree with persona on registration fees and banquet. I was surprised to learn that a spouse and a sports participant can't register as a family for $30. I guess its like US marriage penalty tax. It would be nice if org-com could consider 50% off on banquet for winners and runner ups so that the players could feel like real winners. As for the flying cost, other teams from midwest and south had to pay for it for last couple of years to participate in ANA. I didn't see them making a big fuss about it last year and year before. Good luck to all participants. May the best team win. Disclaimer: I am not with ANA org-com.

Bottom line is the cost and the events have to be self sustaining. Event costs will vary from year to year and event to event, lets just accept that. If Sports cost is higher this year, a lot of other costs are lower. Please also note that basketball in being played indoors and that costs a lot in facility rental. Many playing 2 sports doesnt help the bottom line either. There are total of 24 teams coming in this year with 24 different requests. There is no way we can make everyone happy, thats just life. We seem to have recurring difference in opinion around ANA Convention time. The differences to name some : eligibility of non Nepalese players, special provisions for participants, sports teams, events fees etc etc.We spend time and energy discussing only to come back next year and talk to a different city. Personally, I feel that this is due to a lack of clear organization policy. ANA needs to define and provide guidelines to the hosting cities. If ANA has a policy of charging 50% to winning teams for Banquet, there wont be any room for discussions else the hosting cities have to cover the cost which is exactly what Denver is charging. To all the concerned individuals, if it extends beyond the respective teams, lets follow the due process and take it up with ANA this year. If you are serious, send me an email.

Dear PNG: I understand your concern and I apologize for coming off little ticked off but the way I look at it is organizing a Nepali convention, espceially with the Nepalese population in US sky rocketing these days, is a huge task. I just feel that we as participants should cut some slack for these people who are undertaking this responsibility and show them support instead of making so many demands. These events are self-financed with a minimal support from any business organization and it's not easy to make this kind of event cheap. I would be the first one to object if people were trying to make profit out of it and jacking up the prices but I dont believe that is that case here. If the organizers do not raise enough money to pay for all the facilities, who will personally take the hit? Those who want to participate should choose to do so with a full awareness that they are going to be responsible for all the expenses including transportation , room and board and booze. I am coming from out of state as well and participating in some sport events and I know right now that probably not everything during the convention will go smoothly..maybe chicken will be half cooked or maybe not all the games will start exactly on time...but hey you know you gotta take it with a grain of salt. I am really not coming to the convetion to eat...I am coming to have fun..meet friends...and have a great weekend. These guys are not getting paid to organize this. They are not professionals in this field. They have their life, work. If this was being organized by a business for profit, then I expect a perfect service...not that I am encouraging incompetence So I guess my point is lets show some appreciation to these guys for all the time and energy they must be putting into this event right now and try to make things little easier for them by being little bit more understanding instead of requesting this, that ...free banquet chahiyo...time milena..and all the regular crap I have been hearing over and over again. Thanks...no hard feelings I hope. JB

JB you sounds like lecturer, we know the pain and hard time of organizer. However, PNG was just trying to give advice and his sincere feeling to ANA convention organizer. So there is no need your defence. You adviced us to use last year's jersy. How about if we are participating only this year and need to buy new one. Try to think deeply before you write something. JPG is being realistic man. Come on let him take out his points. ANA organizer shoud think all the conciquences.

Bhojpure, All the teams participating for ANA soccer this year did participate last year, except the host team. As for the jerseys, if a team is low in budget why do they need to spend $40 for a jersey, why not spend $10 for it? Its not how good a team looks in jerseys, but how well do they play on the field. One can't blame the host city if it takes $400 dollors to get there.

Since we wanted to maintain the quality of our uniforms like in past, we got some nice soccer jerseys with name and number for $40 per person. I think that statement above contradicts the point of your "open letter". You ask the convention organizers to help your team save costs. But what about the team itself? Maybe you should've considered sacrificing some of that "quality" to make jerseys that all the team members could afford.

I still believe that Organizer can help reduce cost if they planed well ahead. For Example: - Last years Organizer (Sports) have send e-mail well in advance saying there will be three day events and some team might have to play two games on first day due to overwhelming number responses from number of team. They send e-mail even tie sheet was not out so that player know what to do. Assuming same this year because information on the website ANA 2003 Convention from July3rd July 5th. Most of participant who especially who are flying bought ticket to be in Denver on 2d of July so that they can be in the game on 3rd of July and those who are driving already made schedule off at work to be in the game. Since, I dont have any interest in ANA thingies other than sports, thats waste of one damm days and cost associated with it. You guys (This years Organizer) published the schedule (Tie Sheet) on June 23rd just 10 days in advance. I feel that there is lack of coordination on this years sports events organizer. There is only 9 days left (as of today) and you guys still dont out Basketball schedule (Tie Sheet). Imagine if someone waiting for schedule to be out so that they can buy air ticket now verses notification one month in advance. Chyante/thepeacekeeper...most or some player who were last year's team is not in this year's team. So there is need for new jersey with the name and number (that is one of the mandatory if you look on the rules and regulation). If you wanna spend $10 shot term or $ 40 long term. This will be personal choice. I will rather spend $ 40 have a nice jersey with name and logo rather than $10 jersey (Use and throw).

AND I dont understand the schedule (Tie sheet) for Soccer. On the Website: ANA 2003 Soccer Tournament Pool A --->Baltimore / Boulder, Denver, NY and MN Pool B --->Nebraska, Boston, DC and Dallas Schedule July 4th at 10:00 AM Baltimore/Boulder Vs NY Nebraska Vs DC July 4th at 4:00 PM Denver Vs Minnesota Boston Vs Dallas July 5th at 10:00 AM Winner of Baltimore/Boulder Vs NY And Nebraska Vs DC Winner of Denver Vs Minnesota And Boston Vs Dallas July 5th at 3:00 PM Finals between winners of each pool. " * * Supposed to be as per FIFAs knockout rule * * * Since you guys declare following on the pool A and B. Pool A à First Round Schedule July 4th at 10:00 AM Baltimore/Boulder Vs NY July 4th at 4:00 PM Denver Vs Minnesota Second Round Schedule July 5th at 10:00 AM Winner of (Denver Vs Minnesota) Vs winner of (Baltimore/Boulder Vs NY) Pool Bà First Round Schedule July 4th at 10:00 AM Nebraska Vs DC July 4th at 4:00 PM Boston Vs Dallas Second Round Schedule July 5th at 10:00 AM Winner of (Nebraska Vs DC) Vs winner of (Boston Vs Dallas) Final July 5th at 3:00 PM Finals between winners of each pool. One more Suggestion to move second round game on Thursday so there will be only final on Friday. I hope you guys will clarify this one.

Denver sports Organizer still does not have tie sheet for basketball yet and game is next week. Most of playerrs are playing basketball and soccer, and denver sports commitee already sqeeze soccer in 2 days instead of 3. ..semifinal and final in same day. I know its eay to say from outside but once you guys take responsibility its your job to do good job. People are coming from all the way to east coast and denver sports commitee knows very well that. I don't know what i am going to do on 3rd i thought it is 3 days program as you guys mention 3 to 5. At least we should be told on time that there will not be any sporting events on 3rd.

Dear fellow convention goers, Thanks a lot for all your comments. I enjoyed reading them all. I hope you did too. My main goal was to point out few things that I was unhappy about. It was not meant to suggest that the Denver organization committee was lousy or so on. I think the Denver organization committee is doing their best to make this year convention as successful as possible. Having said that let me add few more points to the discussion. Jhismisebihani ji, I agree with your point that its a voluntary job and no one is getting paid for what they are doing and I applaud those people who take time off their imp. work and do the community service. And I truly believe that ANA is not there to make money. But wont you have to say that if you choose to take a voluntary job by your own desire and not by force, its also your responsibility for that job. Isnt it fair to say that the person should take credit if the job is well done and take criticism if the end results are lousy instead of playing a volunteer card (saying I am only doing this for free so what do you expect) when people criticize. Tej Bahadur ji and KPS ji I agree with you about the scheduling I think we will be over worked if we win our games and wont have much time for anything else. I also feel your pain to pay extra for a hotel night when it could have been avoided had we been informed in time and could have paid that money for other stuff like registration and so on and there would have been no so called open letter. Horizon ji, I dont know if you are the main guy responsible for organization in Denver but I assume from your responses that you are the trigger man so pardon me if I am wrong. I agree with you that each event has to sustain by itself. Its a noble idea and good copy from last year organizations. But I ask you at what cost. Are all sports supported by itself or is one sports paying for another? What good does it do to a team coming as far away as Boston, NY, DC/Baltimore sit whole day on the 3rd and start to play like crazy on the 4th and 5th. When the organizing committee could have scheduled a three day events which has been the trend in the past. I know its easier said than done. I dont think there would have been any problems if you have mentioned few months back to the teams that hey guys its a three day event and plan for it. Or you could have just said its a two day event if the three day event was not possible and we could have prepared for that scenario and saved our self money and time. Thepeacekeeper Ji and Chyante ji,(may peace be upon Nepal) yes its ok to buy a 10 bucks jersey and be happy but our team has been buying a quality jersey since 1997 and we decided to do the same this year as well. That way people will have a nice memory as well as a good gift to save for the future instead of Wal mart t-shirt, not that anything is wrong with Wal-Mart t-shirt. As you know last year there was only 10 bucks registration for the sports participants as well as cultural show participants and all we are asking Denver committee to do the same if possible and remember the cost of travel this year is way more than in the past. As for the award ceremony. I know Denver committee is trying to be different then in the past and I respect that. Remember the award ceremonies used to be in the middle of cultural show because that was where most of the crowd used to be. Now they have decided to do on banquet. I like the idea if I am inside the banquet hall enjoying meal but I would hate to be the winner waiting outside the hall and while someone is enjoying the meal inside and then walk inside the hall to get the medals. I think its humiliating. So my advise to the organizers either let the winners be in the banquet at the discounted price or do it somewhere in the cultural program. I sense that all the people do agree with the discounted banquet tickets for the winners. I wish everyone safe journey to the Mile high city and hope to see most of you there and of course we will share some brusky if you are of legal age and likes to drink. Till next time PNG

If we can save by expressing our views well and good if not what can we do life sucks lets all wear a helmet. Best luck to all participating teams and lets bring the medals/ trophies to the east.

Back in 1987, ANA convention was held in Toronto. I wonder how it was. But Saroj is right. Lots of Nepalis living in the US would probably not attend ANA if held in Canada due to visa issues. Association of Nepalis in Canada, if there is such organization, should hold their own convention, since, from what I hear, critical mass has been attained even north of the border. I would love to attend next year's ANA Convention in Montreal because the city is so cool and all. The city has so much to offer ( lots of club, hot chics, great nightlife, casinos and no restrictions on underage drinking). It would be fun to go around the city and have fun after attending ANA's boring seminars ( for example: "Ask the doctor", "Poem" and blah blah ). Unfortunately, this is not going to happen because NCNC (Nepalese Community Network in Canada) and ANA are rival organizations and that means no strong sponsorship for ANA in Canada. According to my source ( the insider guy ) New York, Boston and Texas are the front contenders for the next year's meeting. Anyway, no need to make much noise about this. I don't wanna put my insider guy ( The MOLE ) in trouble :-)

It depends where in Florida. Florida is a big state but not that many Nepalese. To my knowledge Jacksonville, Fl and West Palm Beach(45-50 minutes north of Miami) has the most Nepalese in Florida. Around 120 or more in each city. ANA was held in Orlando, Fl in 1990. Miami is too far from other cities, and will be hard for people to travel. But its a great place. However, summer sucks. It rains a lot in Miami during summer, and the weather is hot. Here in Miami , we have only 10-15 Nepalese(that we are aware of)--thats very little for a city with 3.5 million. So it will be hard to organize. Winter would be great and yes there are nice places to hangout besides South Beach. Lots of bars and do not forget that South Beach is famous for Gay People Also.

My exact words were: " Can u imagine all the participants wearing Bikinis and Shorts or non of the above?" Senior citizens and over 40s people are more than welcome to try NONE OF THE ABOVE. After all, we are are celebrating the 4th of July, the Independence day as well. Anyway, the idea of organizing ANA in Florida was Behnda2's idea, not mine. He is the one, who started this :-)

I am leaning towards believing that ANA conventions are becoming obsolete for todays Yuts ( Joe Pesci, in my cousin Vinny) I will write more about why ANA conventions are the thing of past for the todays Yuts, sometime when I get a chance and may be its time for the youths to look at the alternatives. Fiesta ji, thank you for making my points more clear. Horizon ji, wa wa man you are one slick willy I mean you are good spin doctor. Have you ever considered a job at Cross Fire on CNN I thought those guys (Paul Begala and Robert Novak) were good but you certainly hold your own at spinning the things. I personally had participated in every ANA convention since 1997 and never had problem with the foreign players except in 1998 when North Carolina team included some amigos in their roaster and hardly beat the DC team on PK and look at where North Carolina team is I havent seen them, have you? Ever since that incident there has never been an issue on foreign players. Second your above statement that you never asked anyone to come to Denver on the 3rd. Of course you did not say it personally but I guess all of us are dumb to buy a cheap plane ticket when every one saw your announcement about 6 months or so back that ANA Convention in Denver starts on 3-5 July, and considering the past schedule about sporting events which were held either on three days if there were more teams or just two days if there were only few teams and we never played a semi final and final games in the same day. And I dont know when you started to send those emails and phone calls but as you know if you wanted to get a good air fare to Denver some of us had to buy those tickets well in advance like two months ago. Those who waited either cancelled their trip to Denver or end up paying between $300-$450 for their tickets. Have you ever seen playing semi finals and final game on the same day? It would be a disaster if my basketball team wins then we have to play may be two basketball game and two soccer game on the same day. Thank god we did not participated in volleyball. Third regarding the registration fees. As I have mentioned in my first post that its only fair if you lower the registration rate for the individual sports participants. Here is one more time why. As we are all aware, for example if Ram Bahadur, his wife Chameli, and their children Ram Bahadur Jr.(plays a team sport, so dont have to pay as an individual) and Maili (participates in cultural program)came to convention, their total registration fees would be $30 and its a great deal and I applaud ANA to make it family friendly. Now that you have made it official by your above statement that the players and their spouses can register as family, its great but it also has potential to be abused. But my main concern was for people like: Harke and friends, well Harke would have never gone to Denver if it was not for his love for sports. Harke and friends are helpless cant do anything about their situation and had to fork out what ever the ANA charges. If Harke and friends were lucky enough to have girlfriends they might have used the loop hole in registration and registered as spouses. Well I guess its always the poor who get the shaft. I can understand how most of the Americans felt when Bush Jr. announced the Dividend tax cuts. I rest my case here. Till next time PNG

PNGji and kpsji, Thanks for qualifying me on Cross Fire, I will put it on my resumeJ)). Now, please add Denver along side NC as far as controversy over the eligibility of non Nepalese players but its a different discussion and we can have it later. Convention does start on the 3rd and you shouldnt have made any assumptions based on the past though I understand that it makes economic sense to be proactive. However, what you still fail to understand is the fact that most teams cant even make it before the 3rd. Take a poll and see how many will be ready to play on the 3rd. It is NOT a conspiracy to start on the 4th and all teams are subject to the same rules. If you plan on playing multiple games, please dont blame the organizers and stop pushing your personal agenda. I understand your concern towards your team but please understand that we have obligated to other 23 more teams. How can we give you any definitive time when teams dont even register on time ? Our first mail to the teams went out early in May and not a single team registered even 2-3 days before the deadline. Should we have strictly enforced the deadline ? Oh yeah, that would have been so good because we wont even have these tournaments. Its so much easier to write in the name of constructive criticism and ofcourse in spirit of Sajha. Please note that its not my personal decision but the collective decision of 2003 Sports Committee but I am replying here only because questions were raised by fellow Sajhaites. I am nor is 2003 Sports Committee in any way obligated to entertain any queries / questions from anonymous entities because Sajha isnt the official platform ( no offense San J))) or is it ? I will continue to give you information as long as you discuss decisions without getting personal else all teams have proper contact information for Soocer, Basketball and Volleyball. Looking forward to meeting you guys soon.

Last year when i heared that denver is hosting ANA 2003, i was like how they are going to organize sports activity? i was right, i don't think CO praticipated to any sports in past 6-7 ANA conventionS (correct me if i am wrong). The way they have been organizing clearly shows that lack of their knowledge in organizing sports. Playing soccer and Basketball is not like playing volleyball game, volleyball..u can play 5-6 games a day....even professional player can't play more that one soccer/basketball game a day, how nepali (mostly students) gonna have semi and final same day? plus enjoy conventions. Last year in DC, sports event were organized by players who have been praticipating in ANA for long time...it was good. I think it is just beginning..i don't see good sign, we will we see how bad organizing committe when we get there in Denver.

Horizon ji, please dont take my comments as personal attack to you or the organizing committee, which they are not. They are just my personal opinions which I have the right to express and I am expressing them in Sajha and I did not ask you to reply to them and you choose to participate at your free will. Neither do I think that Sajha.com is a forum for ANA, its just that more people come to Sajha.com than official ANA website so I choose to express them here and see what others think about it, nothing more nothing less. What I found is that most of the people who participated in the discussion did support my idea of lower registration, banquet and change of schedule of sports events. Quoting from your earlier comments: Spouse and a sports participant CAN register as a family for $30. So what I get from your statement is that you could be the man in charge there in Denver but in your latest comments you said: Please note that it s not my personal decision but the collective decision of 2003 Sports Committee but I am replying here only because questions were raised by fellow Sajhaites. I am nor is 2003 Sports Committee in any way obligated to entertain any queries / questions from anonymous entities because Sajha isn t the official platform ( no offense San J))) or is it ?. As I said earlier Horizon ji you are not obligated to answer to anything unless you did at your own will. This is not personal criticism of you or Denver org. I still think that all this could have avoided if the organizing committee had made it clear few months back that the programs start on the 3rd and end on the 5th. I hope every team would have taken them seriously. As you and me know that its the Nepali ways to do every thing at the last moment including registration. Of course I understand your point that no team registered 2 or three days before the deadline. But that does not give any excuse to not to start the games on the third of July if few months back if there was a clear guidelines about the scheduling. I wish you and the Denver organizing committee all the best and see you all soon coz we are leaving home on the 1st of July. About 2000 miles to your city. Damn its gonna be a long drive. PNG

>>Convention does start on the 3rd and you shouldn t have made any assumptions based on the past though I understand that it makes economic sense to be proactive. It is NOT a conspiracy to start on the 4th and all teams are subject to the same rules. Does it make sense to you to say week before ?? Organizer should be in control from the beginning. >> How can we give you any definitive time when teams don t even register on time ? Our first mail to the teams went out early in May and not a single team registered even 2-3 days before the deadline. Should we have strictly enforced the deadline ? You guys are saying this because you guys dont have first hand practical experience being as participant team. You guys dont know what it take to make one soccer team or basketball team and take all the way to host city. I am sure that you guys have got call and e-mail confirming by participant city about their participation. Only matter was not receiving check on time. Isnt it?? last year organizer extended deadline at one point. As I mention on previous thread they let all team know about possible sporting event date and time well in advance. AND There is a rule on the website& ** For Soccer 9) If any team arrives on the field later than 10 minutes of the scheduled time with less than seven players, they will not be allowed to play hence the other team if has sufficient players, will be proclaimed the winner. If there is an exceptional circumstance, the Sports Subcommittee will decide their fate. Due to the large number of teams and a tight schedule, we do not expect the Sports Committee to be flexible Show up on time with the proper number of players is a MUST. ** For Basketball 12) Late Show: o If any team arrives on the field later than 10 minutes of the scheduled time or the team with less than 4 players will forfeit their game. o If there is an exceptional circumstance, the sports subcommittee will decide their fate. Due to the tight schedule, we do not expect the Sports Committee to be flexible show up on time with minimum number of players is a MUST. If they dont show up they will be regarded as forfiet. Right ?? So you dont have to worry weather team will make it or not. Since you already have posted Otherwise this rule numer (9) for soccer and rule number (12) for basketball shouldnt be there& .This is lack firshand knowledge of organizer. I can understand no one is perfect. We should learn from mistake and experience. >>Oh yeah, that would have been so good because we won t even have these tournaments. It s so much easier to write in the name of constructive criticism and ofcourse in spirit of Sajha. If you guys guys dont have gutt to do it, Why shouldnt take advice from previous host city or get help other interested person/people who has experince?? >>Please note that it s not my personal decision but the collective decision of 2003 Sports Committee but I am replying here only because questions were raised by fellow Sajhaites. I am nor is 2003 Sports Committee in any way obligated to entertain any queries / questions from anonymous entities because Sajha isn t the official platform ( no offense San J))) or is it ? Please take a look who is originator of this thread?? http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/openthread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=11033&show=all There are other thread too. Do you need more link which you started the thread about ANA ?? As PNG said you are not obligated to answer any question. Since you started the thread expect ther will be questions and concern. And there are so many question raised by your self. If you are asking how ?? Just click following link. If link dont work, please copy and past to new browser&Or search by originator. Read whatever you have wrote so far. http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/searchforum.cfm Reply above is reply of your previous thread. I will let rest myself here, Even there are so many things to discuss and write. I hope I will do in Denver when I see you. I understand as organizer you guys are doing whatever best for ANA Sports. There is no dought there are so much work to do. We just wanted the best ... Hope you don't take personally.. Well, I just wish all the best to Denver Organizer

Horizon Ji, Ofcourse I can pick someone one the way just let me know who and when as long as its on the way to Denver and he or she has to be willing to sit on the trunk since thats all the space I have left. But again why the spin. Why cant this years ANA organizers amend their mistakes collectively instead of asking someone to do next year. PNG

Tej Bhahadur Ji, Thank you for pointing few more links and some very valid points. Yes its does seem that some people in Denver Org. were not well prepared. They could at least admit that they screwed up instead of spinning the whole thing. Since basketball schedule is not out yet there is no way for some of us what to expect. I wanted to cancel three rooms for 2nd night and save about 200 bucks since the soccer games are being held only from 4th and there is no need to be in Denver before evening of third of July. But again my problem is if I cancel those rooms for the 2nd night now and they might come up with the basketball schedule saying that our team has to play on the 3rd morning, then we will be screwed even more. As KPS ji pointed out in his earlier comments that they dont really care much about the sports and our logistic problems and I agree with him. Some of you might say that puting a valid points into a discussion is whinnig and so on, but before you judge someone please look at the validity of points made and then judge those comments based on merits, instead of coming with a smart one liners, last time i remember this aint your local pub where you gonna impress someone with one liners or pick up lines. peace PNG

Let this be the epitaph for this topic ....even though we did not agree in principle with the organizing committees decision on few things, its about time to move forward and set aside our differences and make this forthcoming convention a successful one. After all this is our convention and let us all wish the best to the organizing committee and the Nepali community in Denver who are working hard to make this convention enjoyable for all of us..... Now that our differences are aside, lets start a conversation about how you are travelling to Denver and what do you want to do the most? sports, parties, forums or just meeting long lost friends????
