Looking through the pictures and the events, I'm pretty sure either Boston is filled with TAMANGS or this Sanja has definelty some strong TAMANG back up. Is that true..BOSTON?

There are few Tamang friends here in Boston, but not in the proportions you have alluded to. You were probably confused with the Tamu Samaj photos. Tamu = Gurung.

Maybe, you were trying ask if the majority of Nepalese who live in Boston are "MAGAR" . Is that it ?? If that is your question then the answer is "No".
Yes, there has been significant increase of Magar population in our nepali community here in Boston but the number of other casts of people have relatively increased also.
The photos you're talking about also includes Tibetians and Sherpas and people from Darjeeling aslo. Maybe because of that it seems like all these people are Tamangs but they are not. It is also very possible that the photographer was more interested in taking photos of Tamang looking people and maybe you got that wrong impression because of him.......MAYBE :-)

this the very type of thread that will bring all the Nepali ppl togather....right ? Why do you folks have to Label everyone ? Why cannot they be jus Nepali and not Tamu, Gurung or sherpa or even Bahun. Kids in High school talk like that Y'all need to grow up a lil.

Dude,
I wasn't trying to break our strong Nepali bond. The Bob dude seemed confused and he was under the imperssion that Boston must the TAMANG haven which isn't the case; as I already stated in my previous posting. I had to tell him the truth. I don't wan't him
catching the next flight to Boston under a false impression and regret later when he gets here. I was just trying to help him :-)

I only wanted some information and some of you have been useful except Bhunte. He just seem to aggravate people and make conversation long. He must be a DAALAL for sanja so more people log in to respond to him and eventually the sanja. Bitchpatroll...I think I agree with U. Why not Nepali? Why mention the cast?
