I really don't know what to make of all this - Ashu Versus..., etc. But it's really sad. Though I am new to GBNC, I am gradually getting hooked to the site. I enjoy postings from Bishwa, Sally, Trilokya, and Namita. And of course Ashu. The postings are hilarious, thought-provoking, informative, chatty...I am still not in the posting business myself, except when I feel compelled. As today...I guess no one takes lock stock and barrel what Ashu (or anyone for that matter). But why get personal? What I like most about this guy is that he puts his name under most controversial of postings. Now all of us aren't doing that, right? Who cares if his friends have deserted him. Are we trying to talk here about Ashu the man, or his ideas? Friends or no friends, I find his postings interesting. And his energy level awesome.

Dear Akhilesh: The similarity between you and I is that we are not from Boston, and there are a lot of things written in these recent spate of postings that we don't get because they seemed to be related to the era when Ashu was here, talking with his friends in good spirit before some problem existed ! All we can do is to request our friends not to get personal here. I disagree with Ashu in perhaps a lot of issues. He has some obvious weaknesses (from my pov). But he is also a wonderful web- friend, and we can profit a lot from reading him. I also disagree with other friends who seemed to be too eager to charge others as being 'equal' to or 'chamchaa' of some fellow posters. That's not fair game. I think Ashu has a lot of potential to do GOOD thing for our country, and intellectual society in future. We don't have to follow him. We can criticize him. But we must not criticize his good aspects/intentions. I personally don't agree with him in Kamaiya issue, but I always want to help him in making KFA a permanent self-dependent library of movies. My emphasize in compartmentalizing issues/persons. I may be wrong in my approach, but I don't insist others to follow my pattern either! Let's talk in good spirit. We all need to learn a lot from each other. Otherwise, we will all become ignorant. A quote from Sir Humphrey Devy:(I am writing this from memory and I guess it was in my database mgmt textbook) "Before I came to listen to you [in this conference, Mr Scientist] I was ignorant. After listening to you, I am still ignorant, but at the higher level." Let's listen!

Hi Akhilesh and Biswo, Many thanks for your postings. Yes, for better or worse, I have, like every one else, have my own sets of enemies, and once in a while they get vocal enough to attack me for this and that. I wish these attackers my very best, and strongly defend their freedom of speech to say anything they want to say against Ashutosh Tiwari. I know this may all sound like earnest chatter, but, honestly, I don't know how else to push the idea of freedom of speech without risking anything myself. And so, please, please don't let any of these attacks bother YOU in any way. Please also don't lower your opinion of GBNC site on account of these attacks. I really mean it. Our discussions/debates and kura-kani can go on just fine . . . Please also do not also think that I am ruffled/angry by any of these attacks. These were not the first attacks nor will they be the last. Through it all, I am happy remaining true to myself -- warts and all. Also, since we all know that there is no such thing as "free lunch", I have learnt to accept these occasional anonymous snipings against me as a price I have to pay for being a regular (and a highly visible one at that!) visitor to this site. So, hey, let's get our kura-kani going -- with all the energy, enthusiasm, interest and occasional heat and thunder. oohi ashu

How can one spend so much time writing in a bulletin board? Specially the ones whose names appear frequently. Don't they have anything else productive to do? Or, is it just the loners? ;-)

It is hilarious how everyone is after those who contribute to this site. I feel sorry for you guys...and ya they might be loners. But is it any of your business? Gautum Buddha was a loner too.

I guess people don't pay attention. GBNC=Greater Boston Nepli Community(look @the logo to the side) Does that answer your concern. If you're not Bostonian, then you don't understand as to what extent this post happy person went to for personal squablle is concerned. We don't expect you to understand. Germans thought Hitler's ideas were great during 2nd world war. But did it make him a great person today ??

Its only a website & Its a free country... You can post whatever you want. But don't go diving into ocean if you don't know how to swim, because you will drown. We are talking about the person and his deeds, not topics he posts. Make sure you differentiate.

Mahesh Posted: "" Mahes, what gives you right to represent all Bostonian??? I am from BOSTON and know most of the people mentioned here and another link. Also, I agree with Kancha why are some of you just going after Ashu?? I am not a big FAN of Ashu but he does contribute to this site and he is one of the reason (besides Biswo, Sally, Namita and Hari etc.)this discussions are lively. Off course I do wish, sometime, if Ashu keeps his mouth or computer shut :-)) Let's not bring our personal issues in this forum. Let's keep it clean.

Is it true that Ashu still owes money to GBNC, besides several other people in Boston? Is that why so many people here are against him?

Curious I don't know if you realize this .... I"m merely doing what you are doing...passing remarks. If you live here then you have every right to represent wheter its anti or pro against any topic. As Newton's 3rd law of motion says... every action has its equal & opposite reaction.

Who are you ,btw? Did you design this site, or are you in gbnc board? It is shameful to read your remark that non-Bostonians should not write in this website.

Dumdum, I couldn't agree with you more! if only Bostonians posted - what a pity that would be for them (Bostonians), this forum would not be as interesting as it is.

Mahesh, I have never met Ashu nor am I likely to meet him. I really don't think anyone is personally interested in him nor in what he has done in Boston or Mars. All we're interested in are reading interesting threads! DUHHHHH! (Frankly, if you guys are all "real" men then you/anyone else should settle your scores/grievances/washing dirty linen somewhere else.) Everyone else, isn't this so typical of us Nepalese to start slandering someone who is getting a little bit more notice than the rest of us? Be it negative or positive!!! I remember some time ago there was this Adwiti(?) who was getting slandered for winning some award which turned out to be phony (?) and for her using her husband (?) as her publisher. Now it seems like its Ashu turn, tomorrow it might be my turn. Next it will be a thread on his whole resume or someone elses. GOD, PEOPLE - start seeing BEYOND your noses. Lest we all turn out to be a SHORT-SIGHTED race!!!! And stop giving this Ashu guy so much importance!!!!! The poor guy just wants to post stuff.(poor guy, remember to keep everything short and sweet)

Oh no Mahesh! Please stay! I too have never met Ashu but now you and others like you have convinced me that he is the Prince of Evil, and I must hear how he massacred the royal family on Mars, because only by talking about him all the time over and over and over will his power be destroyed and justice be granted to the people of Boston (and Mars, of course) who are surely even now squirming in pain from his misdeeds! In fact I want to start a new Web site, AGAT. All Goo All The Time. And on it, we can just talk about others and backstab away. Because it's so haaaaaard to talk about ideas. It's so much more fun and really really important to talk about other people. Hey San, how about it?
