This is the only story about sheer heroism I have heard from Nepal for a long long time! (From Nepalnews.com) Prisoners hack Maoists, escape Two persons Friday hacked their Maoist captors with khukris, seriously injuring or killing them, and fled to district headquarters Phidim in Taplejung, published reports quoting police in Phidim said. Rebels had abducted Bhupal Singh Sunwar and Hariraj Hembya five days earlier from Kebali in the east Nepal district. The pair grabbed the khukris from their captors and fled while being held at an open ground. Sunwar and Hembya surrendered to police at Phidim after fleeing. Meanwhile, rebels captured Sunwar's younger brother, Bhupal. nepalnews.com br June 30
