I support Pabson/.NPabson's decision to counter the cunning trick played by Political gangs. This is one of the many reason why political parties today can not attract public in their campaigns. Yesterday, everything in those private schools was acceptable to
our political leaders, suddenly the things changed after Oct. 4, 2002 events.

The money culture in education sector was promoted by political parties in those
12 years. Had they offered free education when they were in power since first
day about 12years back, today, a full set of free education receipients would have
graduated. When they failed in politics, now they target the private schools.
If they attack more private schools, they lose more support, and King G. gets more
advantage of the chaos created by political leaders. Today, the middle class
and upper class Nepali realized Maoists are not for them when they forced
Private schools to close and vandalized these schools in order to exploit them
for their political gain, the peak of support to Maoists in Kanthmandu collapsed
2001 September when they indiscriminately collected money ( a cousine of mine,
was asked to Rs. 10,000. and when he declined by saying "Sahuji is not yet
home", all the employees were told to leave the place and find a new job, because
tomorrow we are coming to blast this shop", and took away 2,000 rupees. ....),
and now, Girija, Makune Gang is following Maoists Path and annoying publics to get
their chair in Singha Durbar back. .............. I am sure it will benefit King G.,
after all those stuffs, what you come to make a conclusion is that
"Democracy does not fit in a country that is small and poor with uneducated majority citizens."

This political chao will continue for another 5-10years, and will end when these political
forces stop abusing common citizens in the name of Desh Bandha or school lock up.

The cartoon: A group of political agents "Akhile and NeBiSanghe" see a kid walking
on street, ask his school's name, Kids says, I don'T know, then, these Akhile+ NBS
lock up the kids bag: since you don't know your school, we can reach there, so, we need to lock up your bag.

School-closure not to be withdrawn (with due acknowledgements to Nepalnews.com)

Private schools have no any intention of withdrawing school-closure starting Monday, Rajesh Khadka, chief advisor and immediate ex-president of NPABSON told Nepalnews Sunday.

There is no question of withdrawing the closure, unless padlocks in schools are removed,ûhe said. without any pre-conditions, we are ready to sit for talks, but padlocks must be broken before talks.ûnbsp;

He said there were no any recent contacts between PABSON, NPABSON and student unions. Private schools refused to sit for talks and announced indefinite shut down of schools Saturday, as the student unions did not open padlocks within 72-hour ultimatum.

There are 8,500 private schools in Nepal, according to estimates. nepalnews.com mr June 29
