I was disappointed/sad to see Trailokya Aryal -- who I have NEVER met but have only known through his Web postings and China-related articles -- being called "chamcha" and all that negative stuff by some anonymous posters here. I mean, it's one thing to attack me, the certified-by-some-in-Somerville-as-the-devil guy :-), but to attack innocent visitor like Trailokya for merely agreeing with me on one thing or two, shows the depths of anger/hatred/desperation/poor judgment of Mr., let's call him SNG -- Shyam Nekram Gaunle. Because Trailokya addresses me 'dai', I assume he is younger than I am, but even then he is always free to disagree with me. As far as I can see, Trailokya has a mind of his own, and has disagreed with me as often as he has agreed with me. His agreeing with on one thing does NOT make him my blind supporter just as his disagreeing with me on another does not make him my arch-enemy. And this goes for others too. And my history of kura-kani with Trailokya goes back to the SCN days, when Trailokya used to post interesting stuff under another name. On this site, I have often enjoyed his and Biswo's educational discussions on Chinese matters. On another note, Trailokya also seems to be one of the few risk-taking Nepalis who had the foresight to study Chinese (a language spoken by 1.7 billion people in and out of that UPCOMING Superpower, which is our next door neighbor) at his university in the US. Any educated Nepali who masters a foreign language other than English always has my deep personal respect. I am sure Trailokya knows NOT to let these anonymous snipings bother him. And, I hope, time-permitting, he will continue contributing his thoughts, and challenge my and anyone else's ideas so that we all keep one another intellectually honest while maintaining personal respect for all. oohi ashu

I guess he will enter here soon too. - Then will appear Kanak Baniya. - I gues these guys will then thrash each other with their excellent writing skills learned from Harvard and MITs. - I guess many in this forum will then say enough is enough. STOP. - But, this will go on and on. - Enjoy watching SCN revisited for sometime now !! Mangal

Hi Mangal, Perfect!! Please be advised that this particular posting is not meant for everyone, though it certainly can be read by all. At best, this can be plain entertainment; at worst, just sheer puzzlement. Just bear with me, please. **************** For the record, and you read it here first, I have NOTHING against Rajesh Babu Shrestha. Yes, he and I did have our differences about the directions GBNC was taking when he was president, and yes, those differences did become more than vocal and acrimonious toward the end of his presidency. But that's all OLD NEWS, which both he (I assume!) and I are ready to chalk it up to history and go our separate personal/professional ways. Sure, he may still be angry with me for this and that, and that's expected. But, for the record, my anger for him has long evaporated. Rajesh's, by and large, a good guy who, like everyone else including me, also has his dark sides, and that's life. By saying all this, I am NOT saying that I am trying to kiss up to him for a brand-new friendship, nor do I think he is looking forward to anything like that either. THat's out of the question. Sp, hey, whatever happened, happened; and I or he need not bring up the past here or anywhere else. So that's that. So I hope this much is very clear. To recap, then: I have nothing against Rajesh Babu Shrestha. So his name need NOT be dragged here or anywhere in connection to me. He has, after all, the right to be left alone, and this goes for P. Bista as well. As for that other fellow, and that other fellow alone, the less I say and write here will be more. Or will it? And MIT application essays and the rest have NOTHING to do with why I have, with careful deliberations and long hard thinking, set myself up as this guy's enemy number one -- OPENLY and PUBLICLY and STRATEGICALLY and CALMLY so that ALL my moves are always made in public, consistent and transparent. As some of us have learnt in the book, "The Art of War", all this OPEN strategy is not deception, but a strategy that torments the enemy, makes him foam ta the mouth, entertains others and fulfills your calm purpose. After all, there's a limit to how far one can go in life by pitting friends against friends because of one's own volatile emotions, by poisoning everyone's emotions and by spreading lies about people. As an Aquarian who values friendship over anything else, the final straw for me is when someone pits friends against friends on account of lies and half-baked emotions. Now, for anonymous slingers, Gaunle and all, with blessings from you-know-who, you can continue on with your attacks. We all know where your cues are coming from. Good luck!! Meantime, on this hot June day, sipping ice-cold lemonade, we can all enjoy the fireworks on GBNC web site. Brought to you by: Dabur India. :-) oohi ashu

Okay guys, please, that is enough. Whatever problems you had in the past, or you may still have with eachother now, please sort them out over personal e-mail. YOu are not the only rooming group that fell apart, and there are more important problems in this world that could use some attention. This site is too important to be polluted with interpersonal issues.

Ashu is a great debater and has credits to that effect. However, that does not behoove him (or anyone for that matter) to muddy the waters of GBNC by trying to settle personal scores because he couldn't succeed doing it privately. Ashu's problems with people in GBNC go far beyond Shailesh and Rajesh Babu. He is not on even terms with people ranging from Rakesh Karmacharya, Sanjay Manandhar, Rabi Karmacharya, Bhupesh Karki, Hemendra Bohra, Prabhat Adkhikary, Kiran Kattel, Abin Bania, the list goes on and on. If you are to remove Ashu from the picture of GBNC, it begins to look like a much more harmonious and productive community. Sure Ashu has his own positive contributions. I'd wish and pray he'd just stick with them and not further muddy things up.

What an ass this MORON MANOJ is. Why are you dragging or naming people who has nothing to do in this discussion and do we really care about them? Why should ASHU be removed form GBNC just because he does not get a long with the people you mentioned. I don't give a shit if ASHU or anybody gets or does not get a long these people. At least ASHU is a good writer and brings interesting news and article to us. Why should I or other people in the forum should care about if he gets a long or not with these people. People who should be removed from GBNC should be people like you who are interested on other's personal business and bring them in pubic. To ASHU: like some of other readers, I wish sometime ASHU if you could just SHUT YOU BIG MOUTH and be COOL. Why can't you leave topic of Rajesh Babu alone? Why do you have to comment where ever or whenever he is mentioned? Is this quality of criticizing other who don't agree come to most of the BHAUNS by birth???? Try to be COOL man. Let us not use this GBNC forum to fight your our differences..

Hi all, Thanks ashu dai ( I am indeed younger than you) for clarifying things. No, I won't let some stupid comments stop me from presenting my views in this forum or anywhere. What's that saying in Nepali "kaag-karaudai garcha, pina sukdai garcha" :-) Plus, whoever labelled me chamcha, I am surprised that you could only think of "chamcha", I think dadhu/panyau/kasaudi/tapke are much bigger and widely used in Nepal :-) Trailokya

Ashuole !!! You fking moron shut the hell up. Do you ever even think why all these people hate you ??? Everyone that knows you except your little online friends( whom you don't know) hates you. . . These are all past GBNC member who actually got to know you personally. Does that say anything to you Moron. Don't try to paint yourself as a Saint. You are worse than the Devil himself. You just couldn't let it go could you ??

Why is everyone against Ashu dai. (I don't know Ashutosh dai! but I can tell from his writing that he is non-violent person. I haven't read single article in this web-site that talks about other people's personal life. Everyone seems ready to fire upon him and they do when they feel necessary. Ashu dai most be really strong and i'm very proud of you. I wish and i hope that you always remain this calm. Fren

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX can be categorized into a child molester. I can't believe he is still alive. He will rot. No wonder his long time lover left him and married someone. That was the start of his misery. I urge you to not post personal, derogatory and/or defamatory messages in this public site. Let's not use this site to start rumors... Regards SP(8/10/2001)

Oops he didn't actually molest Nita. He helped someone else molest the child. It's worst than being a molester.
