Let's gather all the pennies (most of us care less about them, anyway)and send them-not the coins but the equivalent amount from bank, of course- to Nepal for any welfare program.
What do you think? one penny is mighty enough to knock down One Mohar+almost A suka.
Just 100 pennies will buy Rs. 72.00 worth of goods or Services. In some rural corners of our SUNDAR ? SHANT? BISHAL? Nepal Rs. 72.00 still holds a position that can't be ignored. Just a small thought!

Sparsha,
Your is really a good thought.As long as I
understand, we need an umbrella charity organization that should handle such
philanthropy. Sending penny/dollar anything
to those who needs them most is really a
commendable idea/but it often runs into the
maze of beaurocratic bungles.Persons
shouldn't be entrusted to cope with all those
problems, even for the sake of longevity of
such activities.

Happy Dashain 2057 to GBNC(I, now, know that it includes all the active and passive members).
It's quite sad that we can't even give something to one of us in need because the water of trust in the channel is so murky.
Once again, Biswo ji and oohi ashu sukhad dashain ko subha-kamana!
