I think king's message is clear: get businessmen like Rup Jyoti
and Mrs Sherpa forward.Rather than opportunists like Sribhadra
Sharma, it is always good to have strong businessmen like Rup
Jyoti, who can create jobs, in upper house.

Mukunda Regmi was an ok man in the Girija's list.He was the writer
of the constitution, and is a first grade lawyer. King could have
made him the member. But Girija erred by giving the name without
formal approval of the ministry.

But, I have one problem. I want to know whether king acted acc to
the constitution or not. They say it is the right of the elected
govt. I have doubt about it, because I don't think 10 seats of
upper house is free coupon given to the party which has majority
in the parliament.

The issue here should be viewed form wider perspective, not just on individuals. King(?) has clearly given the message (and he has been giving this message ever since he became king) that I AM THE KING, AND YOU (NEPALI INNOCENT PEOPLE) MUST OBEY ME. King should have sent the list back to Girija for reconsideration if he truely wanted to follow the democratic norms.

I don't know if there is such signal coming from the king. He is
restrained in his comments, and mostly immured inside the palace.

Also, the constitution doesn't say that king should give the
list to the PM. The PM should have given such list, after
ratification of the council of ministers, to the king. Now,
sources say Girija gave the list of Srivadra, lilakoirala, mukunda
etc to the king, but king refused them.

I am tired of these old congressi people. We need some new and
energetic people in the parliament.May be Mrs Sherpa/Rup Jyoti/and
major Shaha are the just right people.

Btw, From the perspective of humanity, he deserves sympathy now.
