Koirala, Deuba in birthday reception
NC President Girija Prasad Koirala, NC (D) President Sher Bahadur Deuba and NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel took part in the Royal birthday celebrations observed at the Narayanhiti Palace.
Five agitating parties had boycotted a reception Sunday organised by PM Thapa to mark the Kings birthday.
Koirala and Deuba were seen sitting together and having a chit-chat. Last time, they had met at Pashupati, Aryaghat for the cremation of UML General Secretary Madhav Kumars mother, but they did not speak to each other.
NC is reluctant to include its splinter NC (D) in the five parties joint agitation, whereas, NC (D) has been willing to join the movement.
UML General Secretary Nepal was not seen in the Royal Palace reception Monday.
