Hope the 5 parties is not trying to establish some kind of record in the Guiness World Book of Record....Is is ethical to get involve youngs (below voting age) or infants (who knows in future!!) to take part in the so called hunger strike? Our respected leaders should come up in the roundtable for a national consensus rather resorting to old tricks like hunger strike, vandalism, using school kids/college youths for political purpose, etc. We have seen many of these in the past, but that's not the ultimate solution. For how long we can go through this phenomena? Of course we want change, but we need to maintain certain standards while going through all this process.

((((((((12 years old girl in a hunger strike ----KOL Report)))))))))))

KATHMANDU, July 10 - A young girl of twelve years in Shyanja district has devoted herself and participated in a hunger strike organized by five political parties to protest against the Royal move of October 4.

Asmita Acharya, an inhabitant of Putalibazaar Municipality 1, took part accompanying Umadevi Parajuli, 64, the oldest participant of the strike called by the CPN-UML, Shyanja district. (snn)

It is nice from the point of view about non-violent way of protest as employed by the agitating parties. However, if the news about the kid stagging hunger strike is correct to its words then there is room to smell foul hands behind. Is the fasting kid an avtar of anti-regression like Joan of Arc in the history of France.
However, unethical approach to create pressure should be exempted from all quarter of lifes.
Let us hope the fast that co-incided with Ekadashi (or was it not) will do good for nation's cause after all we worhip Kumaris.
