Due to bad economic condtion each state increases tuition fee by more than 30%.. let see average tuition fee 3500(cheapest one ) per semester... nowdays hard to find a part time job so let see 35 hours works.. most of u know that cant work more than that because if u got "F" on course u have to reinstate back to BCIS might get deportation letter so 35* 4.78(5.50minus tax)= around 600..
expenses ...food 200+insurance 80+car 150+rent 250(share with roommate) etc how they are going to save money for tuition fees.. since ocean city dries out due to lots of rains.. how students are going to take for 5 years college.. nowdays every 2 out of 10 are planning to quit school due to lack of money and lots of money on credit card dont want to go back nepal very humalating . u guys might start to hear nepali guys sucide coming days.. since parents give 5,000 dollar go usa get education so how these guys and girls will buys a car with that money since u wont get visa if u want to come community college u have to take atleast 2 semester in order to transfer to community colleges by the time all your money will gone..
I want inside about this from u guys

DON"T DO SUICIDE!

When you come to US, its taken for granted that you are well. Well, that's what i have perceived. noone cares for you dude, for if they did, such issues would be raised at some point in convention like ANA. Instead, they have myriad foundation to help nepal, build shelter homes, make schools and what not but not help next door Nepalis. Trust me man.

xserver, try getting a loan? I hope it works out.Hope some good hearted kuire will co sign for it. For nepalis in US are only into helping NEPAL, not the NEPALIS :).

Yea ...Try to get loan...Talk to your international student director. If its a private college, they do provide international student with some kinda loan( without a cosigner too), in some cases but not always.

Xserver,
You have raised important issue in this thread. I wanted to know same info in a separate thread on the context of rising unemployment rate in USA. There r many success stories of nepali students in this land of opportunities, but there could be many untold one as well. This thread is perfect for anyone who would like to share their pain or gain being a 'paradeshi student' here. this is useful piece of information for potential parents at margin who want to send their kids to amrika. ...

sorry, i miswrote in the previous post as "....I wanted to know same info in a separate thread....". It should read as, "I had created a thread about a week ago to know the same info on the context of ....".

International Student Loan Program
Previously, there was little available to help international students pay for their education abroad. Scholarships are hard to find and the costs are high. Recognizing the need for additional financial aid options, InternationalStudentLoan.com introduces the International Student Loan Program (ISLP). International students now have an option to help them pay for their international education.

The program offers financing up to the total cost of education in US dollars, flexible repayment options and up to 20 years to repay the loan. Students are required to have a US citizen or permanent resident as a co-signer to guarantee the loan. For additional information, visit the "Loan Terms" section or "FAQ's" section for answers to some common questions.

(not that i trust it much. but see if it hels)
