well bro, if you illegal then it of course is gonna be hard for you, but if you legal then you could get the job in which you wont have to bust your tail everytime.. well, i really dont have any idea about that, coz my job is kinda easy and then i also am kinda friendly to the managers and stuffs, and because of that its like my second home.. dont relaly have to be damn it, my job sux.. so, whats your status, legal or illegal?

what selfexplorer is saying is no joke. i have heard it too often- first hand, to dismiss it as a joke. Canada hands out permanenent residency who have certain education and who fulfill certain criteria. when these people come to Canada they find out they cannot find a job. the money they brought from home selling their house and jagga gets finished in a year or two and after that many of them go on welfare. This immigrant story is almost epidemic. Lucky few do get a job in their field fo expertise but 99 percent are either working in a gas station or doing some other menial work. i wonder if Canada is luring these foreigners (mostly nepali, indian, chinese) in a false pretense. i also don't know if these foreigners are discriminated or canada just don't have any job whatsoever. perhaps canada needs a lot of dhoka paley who are engineers, doctors, surgeons, economists.
nonetheless, there should be a warning on an application form who wants to immigrate to Canada. "Buyer (immigrant) be aware!"
selfexplorer, maybe you want to look for a job in a different town. If you are one of those Nepalese who sold everything before leaving Nepal, what are yougoing to do after going back to Nepal? The problems of Nepal that prompted you to leave Nepal in the first place I don't think have vanished now. yes you are really in a jam. do you have a wife? how about opening a day care? It is a lucrative business in the US and not too hard either. That is just one idea.

85 percent of jobs aren't advertised in Canada. Why? They call it hidden jobs. If you know someone working out there, you might get a job.
But as far as I undertand hidden job bhaneko immigrant haru lai phalna ho. Yahan jasto chakaadi kahin pani chhaina...
Pheri jahan gaye pani canadian experience chhaina bhanchha. Kaam paye po Canadian experience. New immigrants haru lai ta ek dum garho chha ba.

Hi SelfExplorer, which city you are living in?
There is no problem for non-french speaking immigrant... You are not supposed to immigrate as a skilled worker (Engineer, doctor, high degree wala) to Quebec area if you don't know french.

I'm in prince rupert, BC. Because I love myself and have self-dignity, I didn't take up jobs which I thought were against my nature. But for how long? Who would help me? Who listens? Who cares? Finally, I took a job as janitor working nights in the mall, after spending all my money. I hate myself for coming to this beautiful land to become a SLAVE....
BUT WHAT SUPRISES ME MOST IS - STILL THEY'RE BRINGING MORE AND MORE PEOPLE EVERY YEAR. CAN YOU IMAGINE? EVERY YEAR 200,000 NEW IMMIGRANTS ARRIVE TO CANADA. WHAT FOR WHEN EVEN SURVIVAL JOBS ARE VERY HARD TO FIND?
WHEN I TALK TO MOST ASIANS LIKE ME, EVERYBODY SAY - THIS IS THE LIFE HERE IN CANADA. IMMIGRANTS HAVE DIFFICULT LIFE BECAUSE HISTORY OF CANADA SHOWS IMMIGRANTS AS LABOURERS.WE ALSO WORKED AS LABOUR HERE. YOU HAVE TO START FROM THE VERY BOTTOM WHETHER YOU ARE A DOCTOR, ENGINEER, PH.D OR WHATEVER DEGREE YOU HAVE. BUT YOU ARE AT LEAST ELIGIBLE TO APPLY - EVEN IF IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THE JOB.
ARE WE ASIANS TREATED AS SLAVES EVERYWHERE? I THINK, IT IS ALSO BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE ME - SURRENDERING, READY TO BE SLAVES. I TOTALLY BLAME MYSELF FOR NOT RESEARCHING ABOUT CANADA'S JOB MARKET.
