Dear all,

namaste and nin hao!

Is there any Sajhabasi in Beijing? I will be in Beijing ( at the end of August, and was wondering if there are nepali students currently studying the Peking University (bei da ) and Qinghua or at any college/univeristy in/around Beijing. If you happen to be there, please do email me. I have a few questions to ask regarding housing and other issues.

Also,

Can anyone tell me which/what coursebook is now used in China for the Beginning Chinese Students at the Universities? I already studied the language for 2 years, but beause of my inability to write (because of the long gap of almost 3 years between by UG and grad studies.. I forgot how to write the characters). I might need to learn everything again. So, if someone is kind enough to tell me which/what coursebook they use, it wil be of great help becuase I can start writing/practicing the characters and save at least a semester, if not a year.

IF ji,
Nin hao!
I don't know about students studying in Beijing University but I do have several friends in Wuxi University of light industries. Some of them finished their chinese basic courses so may be able to answer your questions. If you want their e-add, let me know.
Regards!

Hi Isolated Freak,

Despite our strong differences in opinion about this and that, I've greatly enjoyed doing kurakani with you, and am lucky to count you among my good friends.

I wish you my best as you proceed on to graduate studies in International Relations at China's finest university. With any luck, I hope to visit you and China later this year.

Ashu dai,

Thanks. I have to say the same. Despite many differences, we have been able to get along quite well. Ashu dai, our little beer talk resulted in a huge success.. remember the Chinese Film festival? We made plans at Mike's and everything was on our side. Political differences aside, we have been involved ins ome good, if not great projects and I've always enjoyed working with you. I've always believed that one can have differences but that differences shoould be respected and celebrated, not ridiculed.

French class, Chinese language table, Java ko guff suff, good food and conversation and of course, various film festivals.. Its been a pleasure to have known you, and I would certainly love to see you in China. We'll drink China's best beer, Qingdao and dicuss Big Mao's meeting with Big Mac.

But, i still have some time..actually a lot of time. We should get together for BEEER..as the weather is just right for some chiso beer at Nanglo and discuss..
